Place your bets.

Which retread head Coach is likely to win the Super Bowl this year:

Bill Belichik?

Pete Carroll?

Jon Fox?

Mike Shanahan?

Or perhaps a Lombardi will come from a group of first time, long term Head Coaches.

Notably Gary Kubiak, Leslie Frazier, Mike Smith and Marvin Lewis who between them have been their respective Franchises Head Coaches a total of 25 years.

Combined they have a total of 1 Playoff wins.

Or maybe the Harbaugh boys go all the way or MCarthy gets a 2nd.

Indy's 1st year HC just gets an honarable mention here,

I'm sorry but what is retread

Retread is a term slung around the Huddle most commonly by Mr. Scot refering to a current or possible Head Coach hire who previously occupied the Head Coaching position in the NFL with another team.

Such as Bill Belichik with the Browns or And Reid with the Eagles.

They are retreads which in years past mainly was a term used to refer to tires which had new treads put on them.

Perhaps hiring an experienced NFL head Coach would have been a better choice of words for some of the younger Huddlers.

If you wanna use history to bolster your argument, then you should answer this historical question.

How many coaches that have won a Super Bowl with one team ever won one with a different team?

To be relative to this conversation let me know how many Super Bowl winning Head Coaches have been hired by other Franchises since 2000?

Mike Shanahan comes to mind.

So we have a pool of one.
