Chip Kelly's offense is fast paced, but ultimately his read option base won't work in the NFL. For one, it messes up any kind of running attack you have, because it's only designed for big run plays. (Not a consistent attack) So we see Chip have success at this level, but we should know by now that won't translate into the NFL.

Yes, Bellichick may have adapted some of Kelly offensive style into his offense, however I yet to see Brady run the option.

So with a half on the books, David Shaw contained Oregon's offense. I don't think Shaw will leave Stanford this year, but if I was JR, I would give him a long look at HC or OC.

He's 19-2 thus far, has NFL exp, runs a real offense, is a former Stanford WR, played for Dennis Green and Bill Walsh, his father was a NFL coach, etc.

Man, I knew he had assistant coaching experience, but I didn't know he was that enveloped in the game! He would be the perfect mentor for Cam, and the perfect guy to get our running game back to full health.

Does this disqualify him at all? I like what I see so far. He would be an intriguing interview.
