Bobcats draft needs

Captain Morgan

Recommended Posts

I want a dominant C, guy who intimidates on D in the post and someone who can score.

I don't know who would fit that description, but I think we'd be pretty well rounded at that point.

Not really a true center but "Nerlens Noel". I'm serious about this kid. Great defender and has high potential to improve his offensive skills like Ant Davis.

Zeller is a great scorer but not as great a defender. He's a Pau Gasol.

I'm not too high on Noel. I really don't think that he's that good. Perhaps he has potential, but he doesn't impress me at all in the games that I've watched.

I like Zeller, but don't love him. I really like McAdoo, but I think that he's more of a hustle player that is really athletic, ala Thomas Robinson. I'm on the fence about Alex Poythress. He hasn't been overly impressive to me, but he does already have an NBA ready body and looks to have lots of potential. Now, Shabazz... that's the guy that I really want at this juncture. I can't wait to watch him.

I have to kinda agree.

We need a pure shooter. Someone that Everytimes he shoot the ball the we're not going to cross fingers that he'll make it. Shabazz can or may be that legit shooter we need.

I just hope to he can be cleared to play sometimes thiis season. Anyone knows if he have or when he'll be able to play.

Think he is but could play PF also

I guess with his size. But his skills don't scream post PF to me. Definitely not a true 4. If anything he's game is more of SF/PF than a PF/SF. If we do go BPA, then give him a look. But I tend to look at needs first.

Just watching highlights of him, and damn his shot is very similar to Durant's.

He seems like a player I would like and even more if we didn't draft MKG. Athletic player with potential. I'll keep tabs on him.

Yeah, that's really the main reason that I want Shabazz. He is very athletic, has great size for a SG, is a solid shooter, can score in the post, and should be a very good defender at the next level (already is pretty good at the college level). I really do think that Kemba can be a #2 option on a good team. He makes really good decisions with the ball and is aggressive, but not a chucker like Westbrook can be. Kemba also has that Mamba gene where he likes to close games out and really rises to the occasion in clutch moments. The main thing about Shabazz is that he is an aggressive scorer and athletic enough to attack the basket in the NBA. He isn't a great shooter right now, but he will improve on that. I really feel that he has the mix of athletic ability and skills to be a dominant player in the NBA. He has superstar potential imo.

hey, the whole college basketball season still to come can change our minds, but it's not looking

like a great draft. The good news is, it looks like we may win enough games to not be drafting in

the top 5 anyway.

^this. Think about how many times players stock rises and fall throughout the year. Kemba Walker busted onto the scene his junior year. Thomas Robinson was a backup for 2 years and then cam out of nowhere. Even after the season players stock rise and fall.

The draft does look week but im holding out hope some guys can put togather some strong seasons.

I want a true PF!! Someone who can post up. Watching biz or mullins posting up is sad. But I do love the development of our team. I like the way that it is being built.

Also don't get me wrong I think biz can be a starting Center but not PF. I also think that Mullins can be a good bench guy.

I would love to add Noel, but my dream offseason is still adding Shabazz Muhammad and signing Andrew Bynum through FA(who knows, maybe after his injuries, teams will shy away and we will have the cash)

Walker

Muhammad

MKG

Mullens

Bynum

Sessions

Gordon

Taylor

Thomas

Haywood

I don't want Muhammad. He can't shoot. You don't want Kemba, Muhammad, and MKG clogging up the lane for each other. This team needs an offensive-minded SG who can shoot, pass, and play overall smart ball. I don't think we need a superstar necessarily at SG. A James-Harden type player. In fact, I wouldn't mind if they traded for Jeremy Lamb. That is the type of guy that would thrive on this team. That way you can focus the next couple drafts and FA on guys down low.
