My arm is stronger than John Elway's and Brett Favre's

<snip> As a Bronco fan I hope it's we contain that beast, along with Smash and Dash (or whatever they are called now). Here's to a good game!
I actually love the fact that everyone is focused on the nickname crap. That makes what Williams and Stewart do on the field that much more satisfying. Nicknames are gimmicks, DeAngelo Williams and Johnathan Stewart don't need them.

The entire conversation was taken out of context, it was completely tongue in cheek.

so what is so tongue in cheek about this?

"I have a stronger arm than John Elway, hands down. I'll bet on it against anybody's in the league. Brett Favre's got a cannon. But on game days, there's nobody in the league who's going to throw it harder than I am at all."

Cutler really believes that he has the best arm in the game. He is confident to the point of cocky no doubt. But really too much has been made out of all of this. These are really dumb questions that obviously can't be proven and Cutler treats them as such. Plus it is really old news. It seems like every week this pops up. Everyone in Denver has basically moved on and its just a joke.

how are you 4 and 0 against the nfc south and you have not even played us yet?
i tried that and this is what happened

fixed that for you, nimrod. there's only 4 teams in a division, you aren't 4-0

that being said

3-0 vs. AFC West > 3-2

also......

7-0 (our home record) > 4-2 (your road record)

Ding ding. The point of that was we are going to beat you to be 4-0. Congrats you beat KC & OAK, we don't get up for that weak sh*t. We thrive on destroying overhyped teams by the media when they think they are superbowl caliber, (Jets, Panthers).

also commented on how his accuracy sucks and he is in no way cool under pressure.

The kid looks like he's trying to salsa inside the pocket.

I nominate this for stupidest post ever.

Cutler is one of the top rated QB's in the league on third down and he leads the NFL in fourth quarter come backs this season. He is also at the top the list in most of the passing categories despite a receiving corps that leads the league in drops and defense that has been a sieve all year. He has had no consistent rushing attack and we've had to hang 30+ in every game just to keep it close. In spite of all this he's done well and has a winning record against teams with a winning record. He is incredibly mobile and one of the least sacked and least hit QB's in the league. So whatever "salsa pocket" you're talking about, I don't think its hurting him.

If that's not "cool under pressure" then I have no idea what is. You can knock my team all you want, and there are plenty of ways you can do so, but statements like this are completely baseless. It would be like me saying that Julius Pepper is big but isn't athletic or Steve Smith runs fast but doesn't make big plays. It's stupid.

Jay Cutler is making himself look like a real asshole

what the heck is all the Cutler hate about on this board?...

is it because of that denver4life troll's posts that yall keep inexplicably keep responding to?...

Cutler is a confident (and even cocky) young fellow this is true...but is that reason to hate on him the way some of you guys are doing?...

The guy is a warrior...he played with an undiagnosed and untreated type-1 diabetes all last year and took a pounding...he took a pounding in college too...he's never complained once about his teammates or lack of protection...he continued to fight and support his teammates...

statistically he's off to one of the best starts ever for a young QB, and all he did was answer a question about his arm strength and now people want to say he's dissing Elway?...He NEVER claimed to be better, but only that he felt he had the strongest arm...so let's cut the guy some slack sheez!...

Sure he'll throw ints but he also makes plays...the guy is a competitor...

i would think that with some of the stunts Steve Smith pulled, that the Panther crowd would be a little more forgiving on a guy that is tough as nails and only wants to win...

Yes, Smitty has had his problems, but the difference between this and that is that Smith isnt out in the media saying that he has better hands than Jerry Rice.
