Inside Pressure

we still lack talent on the interior, trgo's schemes wern't the problem

we still don't have a DT that can collapse the pocket AND stop the run. We need blue chip talent badly.

I think we have talent. Its just has not been used in the right way. Many teams dont have Rare talent at DT and still have good pressure and run stopping ability.

Very good. I feel like a dumbass now cause I confused the Gaps with the Techs. Oh well its just hard to enplane any other way without making a 5 page post. Oh I would give you a rep but I have to spread some around.

If we do go to that I would not be using Kemo very well. I feel that we may do that though but I want to wait an see what Meeks comes up with. Could be something very different.

The terminology can be very confusing for sure. I suspect we will use Kemo over the center or between the guard and center on one side with Lewis on the other. I kind of like Kemo over the center in a 2 gap read similar to a traditional 3-4. I figure the issue was Lewis not getting the pressure on his side, not the scheme really. The problem I had with Trgo was that the defensive line would often rush ahead straight up the field instead of stunting, or otherwise trying to confuse the offensive line reads. We were more worried about gap control rather than getting to the quarterback. And when we blitzed to get pressure we left huge holes in the secondary that anyone could exploit. I don't know how disciplined Meek's system is but it looks like it surely is good against the pass which for me would be a welcome change.

As i said before Lewis seems to do his best when Kemo was over the Center. Coaching was a problem last year cause even a coach QB like me could tell who we were blitzing and stunts were few and far between. I think we have the talent to be good just need to put the peaces in the right place. Kinda like the Cards did.
