Anyone see a pattern?? Ron never has been able to hold on to a job long. Yes he has had 9 interviews and that's mainly because of the Rooney rule. We were the only team dumb enough to actually hire him. Boy that's paying off nicely.

He was a good (NOT great) DC who we thought could make the transition to being the head guy. We were wrong. We can't be wrong again this go round. If we strike out on the next GM/HC hire, we'll be doomed to a repeat of our last 7 years. Let that sink in for a moment. We've been a joke, a laughing stock, a bottom feeder since '05. We are now that team that everyone else points to and says, "Well, at least we're not THOSE guys. LOL!"

Sigh...

Like CRA said, thats about as normal a resume there is to expect when HC consideration is discussed. What I'm blow away with is what made Hurney sign the guy (who at this point was passed over by SEVERAL teams before coming here)

However, thats to be expected with Hurney. Sign garbage and hope they turn into diamonds.

Nakamura is a perfect example of Hurney's ineptitude.

The only "job change" he had that wasn't a promotion was the move from Chicago to San Diego. And to be clear, that happened not because of bad performance, but because Lovie Smith wanted to give the job to 'his guy' (Bob Babich).

Although it isn't working out now, Rivera's resume' pre-Panthers was as good as anyone's. It was a perfectly reasonable hire.
