NFC Playbook: Broncos vs Panthers

I see maybe 1 sack on Manning but what I want is pressure. Sacks is a product of pressure so it's not the be all and end all. If we got consistent pressure on Manning and disrupt his rhythm we stand a great chance of slowing the offense down and winning the game.

I think unconventional defense against Manning is useless. The key is to get pressure with the front 4, while at times bringing that 5th rusher. The 5th rusher, however, must be disguised, since Manning is so good at recognizing blitz and pressure from either side, or between the gaps.

I think cover two, man or zone, is the only real defense to play against Denver. Try and get to crafty, and Manning will start to eat you up. He is very good at finding holes, so the key is to believe in your defensive players ability and just let them go out and try to cover.

As for sacks, I think MAYBE 2. Sacks aren't as important as pressure though. If you get Manning uncomfortable in that pocket, the chances of him throwing a less accurate throw, or throwing off timing routes will increase.

Honestly, sadly, it's hard to think that Carolina will win this one. Denver is a much more complete team, top to bottom. And going up against the best QB to ever play the game (arguably)? Good luck gentleman. Prove me wrong!

I'm going to say 5 sacks in this game as well. The defense has something to prove and now know the only way they are going to win is attacking the QB. Norman and Cap need to play the game of there lives though. Manning adjusts real well.

Hope you're right snake. We get that many sacks, we win. Don't think Peyton can take that abuse.

Say what you want but our offense has been terrorizing qbs lately if rg3 wasn't so mobile we would have gotten maybe 8 or 9 sacks on him. Yes Peyton gets the ball out fast but he's no RG3 hell he's not even Eli as far as mobility goes.

Get to him and he will go down. None of that soft zone. If we play man up press coverage and don't allow those quick throws he's going down. You ever see him run out of the pocket? Nope. That's the key is coverage. I believe we can get to him it's just a matter of will he still have the ball when we do.

They say Manning has been sackless in his last three games. Ranked against the pass. SD- 16, Cincy-17 and New Orleans-27

Meaning they probably don't generate enough pressure against anyone.

Teams that have faired well Houston,(3) and Atlanta (11) are good against the Pass. Carolina is 10. New England beat them but are 25th.

I am saying that we have the horses to generate pressure on Peyton Manning win this game. I am hoping this comes to pass.

Go Panthers

Front 4 should be licking there chops over this game.
