The once 1-4 rudderless Los Angeles Lakers now stand at 5-5 after tonights win over Houston.

New Head Coach Mike D'Antoni has yet to sit on the bench but has been running practices this week.

Kobe Bryant played like a youngster tonight contributing the Triple double.

All 5 Laker starters were in double figures scoring.

Another huge 28 point, 13 board night for Dwight Howard.

All this and Steve Nash has yet to contribute to the new Lakers.

Things are looking up in LA.

Pau is fantastic in a more half court offense. He's also more of a C than a PF, because of how much athleticism he's lost. Honestly I would try to trade him for Josh Smith + Anthony Morrow/Kyle Korver, but with Pau's play this season I'm not sure that Atlanta will still be open to it.

Yeah we tried to get Josh Smith this summer but our gm was asking for Jeff Teague too.SMH now Atlanta would never make a trade with us.
