Have you Had a Paranormal Experience of any kind?

I was lying in bed half a sleep, and I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye. I try to look over, but none of my body can move, and I clearly see a figure standing beside my bed. I was freaking the f*ck out, until finally, all of the sudden, I forced my body to move and I yelled "F*CK YOU SATAN!!!"

I thought it was a dream, until i realized I was awake through the whole thing.

And then early that morning, I woke up to my lamp crashing into the ground. The entire thing fell off my desk and shattered.

Voodoo witchcraft by devil worshiping gypsies, I kid you not.

I have had the same thing in bold happen to me.

In my experience I was laying in my side, close to the fetal position.

I don't remember falling asleep, but I was laying there just as real and vivid and clear as the reality that I am in now, except I COULD NOT move. I could look around, but I COULD NOT move.

It was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me.

I swear to God that as I laid there paralyzed I trying my damnedest to move. I tried so hard to move that I started seeing stars, black and red, and I felt as if I was going to pass out.

Eventually my whole body jerked and I was back to normal, although the vividness or reality did not change.

To answer the question though,

My great grandmother died while I was in Iraq.

I wasn't extremely close with her, and I had expected her to pass since I was 10 years old.

I didn't visit her very much in my teen years and rarely ever when I would come home for leave.

Having said that, I heard the news over the phone and that night I had a VERY vivid dream of visiting her in the nursing home, she was wearing a colorful gown. She told me goodbye and that she loved me and was proud of me.

Just makes me think, did she visit me? I have a hard time buying that because she had seven kids, and all of those children had multiple grandchildren of their own. If she decided to visit me, I am very flattered given all of the choices she had.

Nothing personally other than things falling off walls, things moving, etc. I usually blame that on a little statue I was given that came from Mozambique.

A lot of stories though, from a buddy who lived in Africa/his current residence is haunted, twin cousins who had a childhood ghost who called 911 from inside the house once while nobody was there, and the family came back home to seeing cops/fire trucks, etc. A lot of freaky stuff, just nothing has ever really happened to me.

Also, my brother experienced the same thing mentioned above, the paralyzed esque body while he was trying to sleep one night, he said it felt like somebody was holding him down, so you guys aren't alone there.

Sleep paralysis, apparently your body enters REM sleep when you're still aware and aware. Or something like that, I don't really remember. Learned it in an intro psych class that I was ironically asleep in 80% of the time... Oops.

I dunno if this counts.. but I used to have a dream when I was younger every few nights for about 3 years it stopped the day my parents got their divorce finalized.. however this was the only dream I could ever remember. There was a small church.. and a girl in a white dress looking at the ground walking towards it humming really softly..Then I would hear church bells and it would start to get dark and the dress would turn red she would look back toward the view i was looking from without lifting her head and she would say .."come and play he he" and then the door would open and she would walk towards it and enter and as soon as the door started closing my view would move toward it. I would get to the door and as soon as I got there it would slam and I would wake up. Much sweat has been broken over that one and many glasses of milk downed.
