doesn't help anything. seeing more jerseys of other fans or hearing loud fans from other teams only makes it harder for this team to win and certainly doesn't do anything to help them win. it doesn't make them try harder, it only makes them give up.

you want to effect the bottom line? quit buying concessions.

He has a point. As a PSL holder - a small stakeholder - we have no recourse for protest. Maybe as rayzor says you buy less concessions or don't show up. But JR has his stadium pre-sold to infinity so we can't really send a message that hit's his wallet.

So this guy let's opposing fans in the door. That is his protest.

Also I get a little tired of this one:

Meh. I get that he can do what he wants with HIS tickets. I also reserve the right to think he's no better than a bag of dicks.

The team sucks, but being a fan means being there for the shitty times too. It makes that moment when Cam and Smitty are hoisting that Lombardi above their heads even more meaningful to know that we stood by our team through thick and thin.

he can do what he wants with his tickets but his argument is just a joke. He doesn't get it and is a casual fan at best. There is no correlation between being a true fan and business fundamentals. Guys like him aren't going to most of the games whether they are winning or not.

I just dont get it about our fanbase... The guy bought the damn tix with HIS money. He can do what he damn well pleases with them!

He is not a bad fan for selling his tix for 4 times the face value rather than sitting in the stands, away from his family to watch this garbage that JR has fielded for the past 3 years. This constant bickering amongst our fans complaing who is a real fan and who isnt has got to stop! ...and stop wining about the difference in winning and losing is the fans. Cheering fans is not the difference between winning (Steelers, Patriots and Packers) and losing franchises (Dolphins, Jets, Panthers, Browns). Its the front offices job to make\keep us competitive! Wake the fug uuuuuup!!!

Under these circumstances its not about being a true fan, its about being having common sense and not being a dumb ass for not taking the cash at 4 times the face!

I'm a PSL owner. Have been since '95. Attended all but three (3) games until the 2010 season. I paid about $16k for my PSLs. The season tickets (10 games) started at $108/pair and are now $160/pair. The average home game, not including the tickets which were paid for months before, costs me about $200 (1 tank of gas, tailgate food, parking pass @ $35/game/$350 for the season, couple beers in the stadium, etc,). So there's about $3200 per season on top of the $16k I initially dropped.

Until the 2010 season we made one road trip to an away game each season, which typically averaged a $1000 weekend. There's $15k.

So when Jerry Richardson put the Panthers into "full garbage- there's a lockout coming mode" in 2010 and the product on the field wasn't worth half the price of admission. I actually gave away tickets that season because I couldn't sell them. Those of you who attended games in 2010 will remember scalpers getting $5 a tickets for lower levels, maybe $10 for clubs. It was ludicrous.

At that point, the wife and I had been attending games for 16 seasons. Our tailgate group diminished over the years, we watched some of their kids grow up from one home game to the next, one season to the next. Some moved away and still try to make a game or 2 every season. Others have given up altogether and the Hartigan's parking lot on Cedar Street next to the practice field is no longer the happening tailgate spot which brought even JR himself out to visit at least 2-3 times a season.

And we're all 18 years older now as well. The drive, when you get older, is a real pain in the ass. The product on the field is crap, no one seems to care if it is or isn't and, as much as I love the game, I am now completely indifferent to the Panthers winning or losing- I don't really care. I'd rather sit home and have the choice of 2-3 early games, watching the more interesting match-ups and maybe 1-2 late games. I go to a Panther game and by the time I get home Sunday night, I've spent 12-14 hours of the day driving back and forth, watch a struggling team that I no longer really care about one way or the other, and I have to get up and go to work Monday morning.

For those of you who want- do the math and tell me how much $ I've spent in the last 18 years. Then tell me I'm not allowed to sell my tickets, give them away or fugging shred them if I want. Sorry, I'll do whatever the fug I want with my tickets.

at least sell them to panther fans....or sell your PSLs.

no point in owning them if you're indifferent. no one is making you keep them. sell them if you don't enjoy them again. and no....i know you're going to take a loss, but what makes more sense, forcing yourself to buy the tickets and going through the hassle of trying to sell them so you don't take a hit or just unloading them.

and no....you can do whatever you want, but don't exect anyone to applaud your "commitment" to the team for all those years if you're just going to get them into the hands of fans from other teams. don't expect anyone to feel sorry for you being in that situation either.

getting panther home game tickets into non-panther fans hands is a douchey thing to do...but it's a free country so have at it.
