NFL.com - Fox "fired" = Bullshit

For some reason NFL.com keeps mentioning that Fox got fired after that atrocity of a season in 2010.

Denver Broncos' John Fox quiet on Carolina Panthers

If John Fox were built a little differently, this week would have a potential for ugliness.

Schein: Broncos. More ...

The Denver Broncos coach on Sunday returns to the house of his former employer, the Carolina Panthers, who fired Fox in 2010 after nine seasons with the team.

Fox has spent this week artfully dodging questions of revenge.

"It's the most important game, because it's the next one," Fox told The Denver Post. "You don't get but 16 of these opportunities. Right now we're 5-3, and the only guarantee we have is 5-11. So, you know, it will be just like any week from the standpoint of it's the Denver Broncos against the Carolina Panthers at their place. That's the only real thing I know."

Asked if he'd stick to the heavy coach-speak until kickoff, Fox confirmed as much: "Yes, put that in a quote and you'll hear it many times."

Well I can go in detail about how Fox thinks being mum about the situation is going to fool people and babbling incoherently like a low price Yogi Berra impersonator for hire, but instead I'll clarify for NFL.com. Fox was never fired after 2010, his contract expired and he was just simply allowed to walk. But he should definitely have been fired no later than an hour after that garbage display of football Panther fans witnessed against Arizona at home in the playoffs.

Don't worry. Once Manning retires in 2 years, Denver fans are going to be glad weed is legal, bc Fox will be drafting 6th round QBs and trying to "develop" them for 20 years.

I thought the huddle pinned all the draft picks on the GM. I wish we could get some consistency around here.

not fox's m.o.

find an old mature QB and ride him till he breaks and then ride him a few more years.

fox doesn't want anything to do with devloping players, esp. QB.

he tried with brett basanez and matt moore, no? unfortunately, he will probably pick up mike glennon and have him train under manning, and in the end fox won't look that bad to denver fans. god, i hate the man.
