manning vs. norman

Recommended Posts

Actually me and someone else made it up during the draft chat. I think that was the earliest sighting of the Lake Norman mantra. We said it was fitting given the proximity of the actual Lake Norman.

Knew it'd been around a while. Just didn't know who started it.

So I think I should start Smitty over Thomas in a very important fantasy game? Smith will be against one of the best ever in CB though

No, you start Thomas....that he has Peyton throwing to him and doesn't have Champ covering him.

It really isn't even a debate....

Btw Darius butler pick 6. Also that McClain guy we dropped last year or this year is playing decent.. Don't know why we have so much trouble getting mediocre play out of FA corner acquisitions.

Gotta remember who they're playing - the Jags are like NFL D-II at this point.

Josh Norman now is light years ahead of Josh Norman in week 3. It's like two completely different players.

He is now Lake Norman.

Don't get stranded bitches.

We also had exactly 1 touch (it was not even a hit) on Eli in the first 3 quarters. If our d-line plays close to as good as they have lately Norman will be alright.

and the results of manning vs. norman.

peyton manning threw at norman 7x for a QB rating of....(drumroll)

79.5

that's below the 88.0 his brother rated when they played the giants. norman is a man of his word...better yet, he is THE man.

some fyi, peyton's rating when throwing at munnerlyn (targeted 7x) was a 97.0, and 118.8 at thomas (thrown at 6x).

    • That would be a great pick, he might be my favorite for us right now.
    • The coach- Canales was a rookie hc and at times looked like it. But he did manage to revamp the offense, helped Bryce not look like the biggest bust of the draft, exuded positivity,  and made the panthers watchable again. We have a viable head coach for the first time since rivera The gm- Morgan had some hits and some big misses. Hits- the ol, Coker, demani, dj at first. Misses- almost every d player signed, brooks, the jury is out on x. I get what he was trying to do with brooks/Hubbard but it blew up in his face. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes. But he did trade mingo for a 4th, managed to get a 2nd rounder this year from the Rams and I am a fan of constantly churning the bottom of the roster The draft- x can be a solid player but not until he catches the ball, brooks was a high risk pick that didn't work out, Wallace, demani and Chau Smith can be solid contributors and showed glimpses, Coker and jt should be mainstays. And flipping a 7th round lb that was about to be cut for Jackson was a great move.  The offense- had its ups and downs but Bryce has turned from one of the biggest busts in nfl history to a potential franchise qb, that change is worth its weight in gold, thielen was crafty and underrated as usual, Coker was a gem, jt was the solid but has some growing to do, and Hubbard has been awesome, the o line was much improved as well The defense- well...they set records, injuries, poor coaching (imo), bad playcalling and just plain sucking this defense needs everything to change, we need horn and Jackson back and we get brown back but we need bodies and an identity. If they can do with the def what they did with the o then we can challenge for the division bc we already have some pieces there.  Overall- this was a growth year full of questions and some of the major ones were answered(qb, coach). For the first time in a long time the season didn't end depressingly and I do have cautious optimism for next year. But they need to learn from the mistakes of 2024 and if they do I like where this team is headed. On to the draft and 2025
