Women Huddlers, Is There an Age...

actually I could tell you a story that would cheer you up but it might also creep you out so I'll just abstain, pretty lady

It's one thing to tell someone in person how attractive they are (ie, give them a compliment) it's a whole other ballgame on the internet... intent/inflection/humor is often lost in the words.

OH MY, Kurb

Epi...it's not a question on whether or not he'd act on said flirtations...but I know for me it's definitely a boost to the 'ole self esteem. It's always nice to hear when someone that you don't know thinks you're pretty or handsome

ok

I dunno. I guess I just don't care very much what random women think I look like.

I never even assumed he was talking about acting on such interactions.

I guess I just don't get the need for validation.

Why do you care?

As MPF said, it's just the confidence boost it gives you.

Kind of like the whole "my mom says I'm the most handsome boy in the world." Well, now it's my wife, which is awesome, that's why she married me. But, we have three children together and she knows the best and worst of me, personality included - which gives me extra points, lol. She has extra incentive to say such things.

So, if a woman I don't know and haven't talked to approaches me or flirts with me, just so I can kindly say "No, thank you. I'm married." It really makes you feel like you're not walking around look like Lurch, unbeknownst to you, lol.

And to this point, it's not so much about validation. Or maybe it is in the sense that it happened so much from 16-25 or so, that when it suddenly isn't happening anymore, it makes you question yourself.

Women are almost as stupid as men in that age range.

As we age, most of us mature enough to keep random musings about looks to ourselves.

Between 16-25, verbal diarrhea is endemic. You have entered a new demographic.

Congratulations, you also will find you can no longer beat everydamnbody in the gym off the dribble, you can't drink way too much and wake up feeling ok the next day, and you actually will give a second thought to risky behaviors.

Your AARP card is in the mail.

Agreed, good points.

Only amendment... I still do beat everyone off the dribble in the gym. LOL.

I tune out the women now mostly.

It's always all like "Ohh jase, have you been working out?" and, "I wish somebody like you would father a baby for me" and, "take off your shirt, I want to compare abs".

Women. Sheesh, fuging annoying.

Your time will come...wait til you hit 30...then poo starts to hurt

Oh make no mistake, I can clearly feel a difference between now and say, 5 years ago... I'm still performing at about the same level physically, but I definitely feel it for much longer as a reminder that I'm not 21 anymore.
