ESPN is a business. It's all about ratings because ratings drive in viewers and build up advertisers. The Redskins have a larger fan base than the Panthers do, which is why they dedicate so much time to building the 'Skins up and getting their fans to tune in. The Cowboys are even more popular, which is why they spend even more time on them. It's that simple.
