I have a feeling when we win the Super Bowl Cam will poo all over the media. He's gonna get that Lombardi Trophy, fly to Charlotte, & celebrate with his teammates & fans. When the media tries to come around he'll tell them to piss off.

That would be awesome. Tell em to kill rocks.

I know your probably high on positivity after the win....and it's good to be happy about the win, but were nowhere close to a superbowl

1) you're*

2) we're*

3) I didn't specifically mean this year. Just whenever we win the SB. I hope he tells the media & haters to kick rocks when they try to befriend him.

C'mon, guys. The Panthers are a 2-6 football team that has not played well at all. They beat a team who is missing a big chunk of their defense and is also not playing very well. What do you want these talking heads to say?

I saw RG3 play on TV last year in college. He looked nothing like what I saw last year and looked nothing like the hype I've heard for the last 9 weeks, either.

Let's face it Redskins and Panther fans, we're lucky anyone said anything about the game... it simply wasn't that good of a watch.

It doesnt really bother me that RG3 is getting all this attention. The media loved to bash LeBron too and said he was selfish, poor attitude, handled the whole decision the wrong way, and said he is not a clutch player. Perhaps this was true, but he wins a title and now they are comparing him to Jordan. Its just how the media works. What have you done for me lately is the motto of this league.

Let the media praise RG3. Hes a great player and will be a great QB in this league for years. Redskins gave up a ton for him. We didnt give up a ton for Cam. Cam set records his rookie season. RG3 has a lot of work to do if he wants to match those. Cam hasnt had as good of year this year but the league has had a season to adjust to him and now it appears he is making the adjustments to the league and has played really well the last 2 games. How will RG3 react?

Bottom line is I wouldnt trade Cam Newton for RG3. I think Cam Newton is going to lead this team to a Super Bowl eventually. Sure he pouts and it doesnt look good when he throws a towel over his head, looks like his dog just died when speaking to the media after a loss, and shows off at any chance he can(superman thing, and now the first down gesture), but this is why the media isnt high on him. Its not b/c of talent, but b/c they think he has a poor attitude, isnt clutch and is immature. Sounds very similar to LeBron James to me.

Cam will lead this team to great things, and then people, including us, will get tired of hearing them blow his junk everyday in the media. Just a matter of time. Quit worrying about RG3 talk and the lack of Cam talk. We got ourselves a FRANCHISE QB.

trying to imagine luck, romo, or The Golden Calf of Bristol throwing a touchdown with blood dripping down their throwing hand. you'd have entire 60-minute special segments with medical experts brought into the studio to testify on the pain level, pundits slurping the 'toughness' aspect and its relation to leadership under duress, etc.

trying not to throw up

Well actually, they talked about how RG struggled. There was not one mention of Cam or a comment on how Carolina snapped their losing streak....

I guess the Panthers aren't worthy of discussion unless they are firing someone or Cam is "not acting like a man"...

Exactly, just what i have been thinkin all day.

I thought the RG3 overthrows were mostly because of his height. He has to either roll out or find a position where the linemen do not block his view to make a throw. But when he had a clear vision, I thought he was accurate yesterday. I will admit that RG3 may have a slight edge over Cam on accuracy at this point, but the sky is the limit for Cam. When Cam figures it all out...we will straight up dominate! This is as good as it gets with Rg3 unless he turnes into Drew Brees. He doesn't have the body to take some of the hits...

    • If he tries to do that I have a feeling the league is gonna tell him to butt out.
    • I think you are at a major advantage if you have the ability to run the football as a quarterback. It can mask a lot of issues. Much like RG3, or Anthony Richardson, immediate impact is a lot easier with a running QB. Anthony Richardson already appears to be a bust, despite him turning some heads early last year. Vince Young was a ROY. I do think Jayden is a lot better than a lot of those guys, but I think he's got a fair amount of development to do as well.  Stroud looks a lot better than Bryce, I won't dispute that, but he's taken a very big step back this year off of last year. Houston has a myriad of issues on the offensive side of the ball.  This is just a trend we seem to be seeing everywhere. Very few QB's are pro ready anymore, and just when we are ready to give up on a guy, he does the thing where he becomes competent, (not necessarily good). Sam Bradford, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, and so on and so forth. The list of evidence is enormous. But to your point, the highest miss rate of any position in football is quarterback. The vast majority of them do not pan out. More than likely, that is the case here.
