i see three problems with Carolina winning out. They're the Broncos, Eagles and Falcons.

Alright, I'll give it to you that you beat us in our last meeting, and hell even that fact that you're 8-0 and we're sitting at a measly 2-6... but are you seriously that confident that the next time you play us is a guaranteed W? Despite the fact that we gift-wrapped you that W in the last minute of the game, just like our other losses, minus the Giants. Not to mention that we've apparently finally abandoned the read-option which has really been limiting our offense... I wouldn't be too cocky about the next time we play you guys.

Anyways, I look forward to our next meeting in Charlotte. I hope we kill you fugers.

IF we were to win out and make it to the playoffs it would be a blessed baby Jesus miracle. And IF we did, we'd make it to the super bowl. We'd be the hottest team going in and a team of destiny.

Look at the teams on that list.

Go on Ill wait...

Dude they SUCK. With the exception of Atl and Denver none of them have a winning record. Beating that list of also-rans is not going to do much for us when we have to face a team that has their poo together.

Yes they do! But winning out would still be a miracle. How many teams in NFL HISTORY have started 2&6 only to win out AND make the playoffs? I'll wait...

If we were to win 8 straight we would no doubt be the hottest team entering the playoffs. Its hard as hell to win 8 straight. No matter who you're playing.

But make no mistake. IF we finish 10-6 and IF we manage to steal a WC spot we will be 1 and done.

Look at those teams. Finishing with a winning record against those teams will just mean we are the best losers. The only exception would be if we hang 30+ points on most of them. Than and it would still be a maybe, I might get giddy over the idea of post season.

one and done is better than none...just from a team morale viewpoint and i don't care how bad the teams are getting to the playoffs, once you're in, you're in and its something positive to build on.

it's amazing how many people think we'd be better off losing out this season. good luck getting anyone on the team to buy that crap. the best thing for any team is to win.

I wasn't trying to say it was a bad thing for us to win out, hell Id be happy as a mother fuger for it to happen.

Just that if we do, don't get your hopes up that it means anything more than we beat a string of bad teams.

i know. it that was more meant for those guys who want us to lose so we can get an early draft pick and new coaching staff, not knowing the negative impacts those things could have on a team struggling for pride in what they do and stability from their leaders.

teams hate losing and the moment that they are ok with it is the moment that you fall down a hole that's going to take many years to climb out of. draft position doesn't matter to the players and coaching staff. winning is all that matters.

i want rivera to work out and succeed here because that's what's best for the team. going for a 3rd HC in 4 years is a bad thing for any team.

beating a string of bad teams is a good thing, btw. it's what you should be doing.

I want to believe, but I have to temper my expectations. I'd even take 9-7 if it gets us a shot at the playoffs, but I'm sure there'd be a lot of tiebreakers involved which wouldn't be in our best interests, so it would be awesome if we could go 10-6. I just still don't trust our coaches, but I'm really hoping to be proven wrong.

I find myself in this same position every year... We dig ourselves a hole the first half, and then I hold out hope that we'll dig our way out of it until we're eliminated. My hope is that winning against the Skins and the RG3 hype machine gives us that extra boost we needed in confidence to know we can finish games now... The defense is jelling big time and that will just continue, if the offense believes now, I could really see it coming together. If we beat the Broncos, it will be much more realistic to me.
