Panthers have the best DE duo?

DT depth still needs to be addressed. If not in the draft a good mid aged vet. Once Dwan goes out pass rush dies and when Ron goes out Fua comes in and we get gashed.

WR upgrade is also needed but I'd rather get the Dline consistent and get a large WR in the second.

With Nibbles and Bits it's not quite as bad. He played the most snaps for him yet, since his return from suspension, today and played very well.

I still say we need to draft either DT or OT. Don't forget, Gross is getting up there in years, as well as our starting DTs, and although Bell is doing an outstanding job, not sure if he has the skillset to take over LT when Gross hangs em up.

Possibles for draft day: OT, DT, S in the first two rounds. I don't think we need a WR just yet, save that for next year's draft in the first, once we get things smoothed out about our coaching staff and GM.

Sorry, but uuuhhh NO! Alexander IS, AND will BE a passrusher. Hardy is closer to being a DT and its pretty absurd to make him a full time DT. if your talking DT ONLY on passing downs both Hardy and Alexander have played the position. A full time move is just rahtarted!

What's wrong with having a passrushing DT? Sounds pretty dope to me. Plus I love his length. He could bat so many balls down that are coming over the middle.

I watch a fairly decent amount of Cal football living in Northen Cali so I have to ask, am I the only one that isn't the least bit enamored with Keenan Allen? He's a good WR, but nothing I'd rely on to replace Steve Smith at any time in the near future.

Keenan Allen isn't a top prospect like AJ Green or a Julio Jones; though not many are. However, he would be an instant upgrade to the WR position and would start from day one and could likely replace 89 as the #1 after a year or so. Despite that, I think we have bigger needs than to address the wide receiver position early in the first round. I worry about selecting DT that early but it may happen if either Star or Hankins is available. If not, and if we happen to move on from Gamble for some draft picks, I could see us selecting Dee Milliner out of Bama'. Regardless of what happens we won't be able to fill our holes and needs with quality players with just the draft and need at least one impact FA to come to Carolina in the off-season.

We really do need some young stars up front, what we have now is a good short term plan for DT but I don't want another Kemo and Lewis situation where we rely on them for too long without looking at the long term solution.

yeah when you have a high draft pick and can get Star or Hankins, then you have to do it. Have to think about the future. May not get another chance to draft a stud DT like that for a long time. Add one of those 2 to our d line and we have one of the top Dlines in the NFL. If not the top

We need:

CB

FS

DT

WR

Dosent matter where we get them and long as we do! Lets draft by the best player available at these positions in the draft as our picks come in each round and supplement the gaps in FA. I would personally like to get a WR with our first pick (if we dont plan to persue in FA) as I believe it is harder to identify an immediate contributor at this position in the later rounds. ...AND PLEASE get a guy who has played agianst QUALITY competetion ate the college level!!! No more projects, we need guys that can come in and help us now!

I'm not particularly enamored with him either. This whole WR draft class seems pretty underwhelming to me.

So all the talk about how our DTs are so weak and our DEs can't get pressure and are overpaid going into the season was totally wrong. Say it isn't so. How Gamble is the only corner we have and how the Captain and Norman shouldn't be starting in the league. How Davis wouldn't last 3 weeks, Beason would come back 100% and Kuechly would be Aaron Curry part 2.

Funny how most everything many people were saying has been proven totally wrong this so far.

I forgot, who said that Beason would struggle, Kuechly would be a beast, Johnson would have a break out year in this scheme and the Edwards brothers would be solid if not spectacular. Yeah, I know who.....................

Who said that McDermott was actually a good DC with good linebacker play and the ability to play aggressively. Our defense has been improving minus the last 2 minute breakdowns when we suddenly play prevent defense. Oh yeah, I know who.

And Rivera has made mistakes and screwed up .But his teams come to play and play hard. Even when they lose heart breakers.

Unfortunately the same people who were wrong about everything will be the most vocal again this off-season telling us over and over what we should do and who we should drop or pick up. And most likely they will be wrong once again as usual.

That is awesome. And this is why I am thinking WR in the first and FS in the second of the 2013 draft. Our Dline is beasting.

You are right to say "DLine". Without Ron and Dwan Edwards, we are not getting the push up the middle. Many of the sacks were because the QB could not step up

have to disagree. yes he is good, but could be a lot better if his brother was some what a good, consitent QB. the guy runs the entire route tree, and has the speed and size you would for a #1 to have. plus he makes people miss in the open field, dude is a beast.has produced since stepping foot on campus as a true freshman.
