You gotta earn it OP. You can't claim USMC until you are done with boot camp. Until you know what "the pit", "being quarterdecked", "hump", "Chinese/Okinawa Field Day" (just to name a few) are don't claim that poo.

I didn't have any when I was at Fort Knox doing my basic. Maybe they let them use the net these days. That would suck

haha yeah those guys were setting themselves up to be "VIP" recruits. we had one guy who had a "sniper scope" tattoo above 0321 tattooed on his left arm....as a recruit. He made it, but he was VIP all the way. A lot of people don't understand that in every other branch you are "something" when you are in recruit training...i.e. in the Chair Farce you are an Airman, in Army boot camp you are a soldier. At Marine boot camp you are nothing; you are a recruit. You are a poo stain; until you graduate. You are still a poo stain even after the EGA ceremony (just a smaller, slightly less smelly one).
