this kid is the real deal

check out the +/- on the box score to see the kind of impact MKG already has on our team

I look forward to coach Dunlap slowly increasing his role/minutes till he's a 35 mpg player. Benching him is pointless because he burns just as much energy cheering for his teammates from the bench as he does playing.

@MikeGillie14

Great Team effort.. Charlotte hang in there wit us.. Changing.The.Culture!

MKG is going to become a great, great, great defender. He's only will and will become a very very good scorer also. An "Allstar" in a couple years.

Kemba has looked better and I hope he stays consistent and improve. Biyombo other hand is probably going to become a bust seriously. I hate to say it and it's not that I'm a "bad fan" but I hope will suck or tank it in the next two years also. It's for the good and future of this team. If we could stay in the Top4 the next two years and add two great talents to go along with Kemba and MKG, great things will happen.

Biz just looks uncomfortable out their, he is thinking too much. I think he can still be a Kendrick Perkins type, and i'm ok with that. I never expected him to be a scorer just a good defender and rebound guy. I think he goes for blocks too much taking him out of position for rebounds. offense will only come off dump offs for dunks from the guards.

MKG on other hand fits in naturally, he plays in flow of the game and is a stat stuffer. His offense will improve as he continues to grow as a player, his defense and effort are already at a high level.

I don't even think Biz can make a Perkins type of player. Biz seems slow and very clumsy. I don't even think Biz can become a good rebounder. If anything lets just hope he can become a defender. Crossing my fingers and toes.

I was so high on Biz but I really don't think he will ever develop an offensive game. Hes not that bad of a rebounder and he can block shots except when he goes against guys that are good with head fakes etc. Sometimes he just seems so lost, although unlike TT he hustles. Now....one thing to feel optimistic about biz is his body. He has put on some muscle from last year and he is only 20 yrs old with a frame that looks like he could go strait manimal if he wants to. If biz can become a big muscular freak with hops then I can live with that.

Kemba at times shows flashes of brilliance. I hope he does not settle on becoming a streaky PG like augustine. Lets wait it out some more as both of these guys are still young.

MKG on the other hand is a lion on the court. He is 19 and punking grown men in the NBA already. When he is in the game the bobcats are just a different team. A guy like dunlap is a match made in heaven for MKG.

Agree on MKG and Dunlap. I believe he's the right coach for this team. He has a leadership and charisma that you can see on him.

I'm very close to calling Biz a bust. I hate it and I dnt want to bc I love the guy but he is pretty bad since in summer league this year and now these two games of the season. If he stays this way, we land a top4 pick, and McAdoo blows out this upcoming season for UNC, Ima have McAdoo all over for the Bobcats.

Bismack was always going to be a long term project- most big men take a while to develop and adjust to the NBA, and some take a really long time. I'll give him his rookie contract before I call him a bust

It may take him two contracts before you see any improvement from him. I know he had a great game vs DHoward last season but that was an upset Howard at the time. Biz was terrible, "TERRIBLE" playing in summer league this year. And looked very bad vs Dallas. I may call it a quit after midseason if I don't see anything soon.

I love the pick..its what the Bobcats need even though Lillard the is more explosive scorer...it needs to start cuturally where a Lillard type would flounder here as a primary scorer.

MKG may not win MVP ever but he is a team changer. im all in and respect the way he plays.

Think thats hindsight 20/20 from you of Liilard lol.

Yea Lillard is going to be very good and a top 5 PG one day but no one knew he was going to be this good. People knew he was good, but being from a small school, his stock dropped a bit and the "famous" players like MKG get taken ahead.

I think MKG will really shine when he's on a team with better players. He isn't supposed to be the focal point of the offense and I don't expect him to be a standout until he is surrounded with better talent. So this year, I am not expecting much other than hustle, defense, and rebounds.

As far as Lillard, I loved him coming into the draft but we had Kemba. They only way he was even a possibility if Kemba had been traded before the draft. Lillard is the new breed of score-first PGs. That's not to say he can't get others involved. Utilizing the pick and roll with Lillard is the perfect way for him to become a facilitator. He was the one rookie who I thought would challenge Davis for ROY.

I don't think Lillard's stock fell at all. If anything it rose. He was the 6th overall pick. I would have taken him before MKG if we had traded Kemba.

Don't worry there's Myck Kabongo next year. He's a pass first PG.

I love Kemba and Sessions a lot but they're not going to manage your offense and pick the defense apart.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
