Why Cameron Newton must win Tomorrow

I see most people are missing the point I was making and not surprisingly so. The fact is this team as a whole the season is ove. The gm is gone the coach is next and a lot of familiar faces on the roster will be gone as well. My point is that Cam needs this game against a player that is said to be a better version of himself simple as that.

Or they'll take 3 words out of your post and try to make it sound as if that was what the tone of your post was all about. People around here aren't that smart or as educated in football in general. I want to add something, though. Last week, we didn't see the intensity that Cam has walked on the field with. We didn't see him with that "look" after a big play. For most of the season, he's been fiery, jumping in defender's faces when they try to hold him down after the whistle is blown. Last week he just looked down and out. He played OK, but he just didn't seem the same to me. Tomorrow, he needs that chip on his shoulder. He needs that Smitty-esque fire every single play. At the same time, he has to maintain composure and focus on each play individually. If he does that, the guy is just dangerous.

We win tomorrow, Cam's swag is back. His confidence is back. His drive to win is kicked even higher and he is ready to get another. That is what this team needs. That is what Cam needs. That is what the city of Charlotte needs. It's what the Carolinas need. It's what the fan-base needs. It needs to get done. And if there is a game to do it, it's this one.

I am going with Cam all the way Sunday....... RG III looks great but Cam has a much more probability to score a rushing TD. He will play angry this week. Put your money on the Panthers Sunday..

Also, I want to see us get back to more of the playcalling we saw last week. I want to see Cam throw about 25 passes, with a few (read: 3 or 4) designed runs and maybe 3 or 4 zone reads. Plus the likely Cam scramble or two, that will give him about 30-35 plays where the ball is in his hands, and 25-30 plays where the ball is in the hands of a running back (if we keep a good tempo and our defense can get off the field on 3rd down). That is even split and that means we are balanced, and balance is good, because it means you either have the lead or you're in a tight enough game where you don't have to abandon the run game.

you get hype when you earn hype, not when somebody getting hype falters and you just happen to be around when it happens. It doesn't transfer by osmosis. It will take a few consistent weeks, three minimum for anyone on our offense to be deserving of hype no matter who the competition is. This is the dumbest logic I have read on a board all day. But to be fair I've only peaked at about 5-6 different threads today.

Just for the record in a press conference earlier this year I believe after the Giants loss Cam said. "Cameron Newton needs to play better" just used at a moment when all joking aside it's time to be serious.
