Ok lets be realistic here. Cams Contract is for 4 years with a team option on the 5th year. So he has or will have played 2 years after this season. Leaving 2 years left with the 1 year option. You honestly think he is going to stay here after 5 seasons. Dont count on it. All we are doing is grooming Cam to move on to a big market team. We are going to be rebuiding for the next 2-3 years any way. Why not see what we can get out of him in a trade.

Chances of him being traded is very slim as I do agree that if anything does happen it will be in the offseason.

Where there's smoke, there's fire? First Andy Behren's video and now Jay Glazer reporting inquiries. Then again, all players get inquired about before the trade deadline so this more than likely is nothing.

IF he does get traded, hope he has either Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball. I hope he gets a chance to get a ring before he retires.

Ffs, Smitty has given has entire career to this team. Stew i would trade in a heart beat. Seeing Smitty play for another team would make me puke.

You need to lose your loyalty to players who could care less where they play.

remember when we had that fire sale after the 2008 season.......yeah it doesn't work, are we losing that much that we are willing to trade the face of our franchise for a 3rd rounder at best.

I always wanted to see #89 retire a Panther. I say don't trade him, decide what to do with #89 in the offseason.

Yeah thats a good idea! Lets weaken and already weak offense and send Cams development even further down the drain. We dont need to get rid of Smith, we need to find somebody that can play beside him. The new GM should think about that first before deciding to trade him.
