The Eagles have had a solid organization, good ownership, strong scouting, shrewd free agent strategy, great cap management, etc. etc. and even with all of that behind him, Reid still hasn't been able to bring home a Super Bowl trophy.

What makes people think he can do it with the Panthers organization?

Seem like this is a topic every week but yes ofcourse Reid is a huge upgrade and a better draft genius then Rivera. But I say "hell no" to Reid. I want a young blue collar coach.

The Super Bowl is 1 game. You guys put too much stock in the freaking Super Bowl. Reid made the playoffs 9 years out of 13, that is excellent no matter how you slice it.

I'd rather have a team who goes deep into the playoffs almost every single year than a team who is poo, flukes into a Super Bowl, then is poo again. Might as well be a Buc fan if you want to watch that.

A Super Bowl is only going to give you a few months of entertainment as a fan. Being consistently competent and fun to watch every year has way more value to me.

It honestly shouldn't be that difficult considering the skillset and what he has shown he can do. Get a freakin OL in there who can block, a coach that can teach this kid how to read defenses, and HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE...the rest should take care of itself.

But like I said in another post...there is one coach who is going to put a staff together better than the rest and be more respected than the rest and that is Bill Cowher.

Reid is one of the most consistent coaches in the league, I wouldn't mind him, but not my first choice.

I will be a little surprised if he's not in SD next year though.
