You pretty much have to prove you're not a racist on this board if you dare critcize anybody who is black. The first two names that came to mind were Vince Young and Michael Vick, and I just knew that some idiot would jump on that so yes, I tried to think of a white quarterback to add to the list. It's a sad reality that one has to do that on this board. But your post proves why I did it.

I hate to say this, but Vince Young had a very decent start. I am not comparing the two, but if you look at Young's early numbers, they were pretty damn good.

Steve Bartkowski and Jim Plunkett started well, too, but never became great quarterbacks.

Actually, Plunkett started terribly and was a huge failure in New England. He went to Oakland and finally found success. Don't know as much about Bartkowski but he had a great year in 1980, which was several years into his career.

Vince Young started out like gangbusters and then fizzled out very quickly. Vick did the same (before his post prison renaissance). Bradford had a really good rookie season, winning seven games in St. Louis, then fell off the cliff in Year Two.

Not a sure thing simply means....

GM and coach that drafted him.....won't be here next year. NFL history suggests new GM/HCs go get there own QB within 3 years. That's the only thing he "knows"......not Cam specific.

He won and went to the pro bowl.....in this league it being a team sport gets ignored. On a good team last year Newton could of won 13 games....winning record this year as well. But when it comes to QBs what the rest of the team does get largely ignored (good or bad)
