No Reason to be Afraid of the Saints

Shockey looks like such a douche in those pictures, and sadly that story really isn't surprising at all. He likes getting hammered in courtside seats at Hornets games, NOLA bars, the Superbowl, etc. while rocking hair gel and Affliction shirts.

His play in NY covered for that though, while his 1st year in NOLA was sub par for him. I'm hopeful that with a full training camp that he can make a big impact.

they are already going to have to deal with injuries that are going to hurt their WR corps...colston had microfracture surgery which is very far from being something that players consistently come back from any better than before the knife. lance moore had shoulder surgery in april...not good for a WR.

they have reggie who has yet to play more than 10 games in a season. shockey who won't do much better than he did last season. very little there other than brees to be scared of. even then, we can handle him. that 2nd half run he had...more had to do with the defense getting weak in the 2nd half of games and letting go of leads.

not a believer.

Microfracture is becoming a much more common/routine surgery than it was just a few years ago, it really isn't that big of a deal. Colston is expected to be at 100% for training camp. Moore should be 100% as well. Individual receivers aren't that important either, Breesus can make a great receiver out of anyone.

Reggie also played 10+ games in all three of his NFL seasons, but don't let facts get in your way.

The defense will be totally different for better or worse this year, Williams brings a whole different philosophy than Gibbs. Not to mention the secondary could be totally new outside of Roman Harper at safety. Porter/Greer/Jenkins/Gay/Young/Harper/Sharper is actually a formidable secondary and should be much improved over the past two years.
