The Myth, the Legend... Matt Moore's 96.6 QB rating leads Dolphins to 30-9 victory.

"Hey guys!"

That was quarterback Matt Moore's opening line in the huddle upon his return.

Teammates say the greeting came with a side order of of Moores's trademark cheesy grin.

The career backup has put on a cape and come to an NFL team's rescue his entire career, which includes leading the Dolphins to six victories during last year's rebound from an 0-7 start. So what he faced Sunday against the New York Jets was just like riding a bicycle.

"I had to get a couple of plays under by belt," Moore said, "but once we got into the swing of things and put some drives together I felt comfortable."

Comfortable enough to complete 11-of-19 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown in Miami's 30-9 blowout win over the Jets.

Moore replaced Ryan Tannehill, who suffered a left knee injury and hyper-extended his left quadriceps with 10:09 left in the first quarter and the Dolphins in possession of a 3-0 lead.

It's nice to see him get an opportunity to shine once more, even if only for one game.

Yeah, go ahead and tell us Moore only wins meaningless games. A now 4-3 Dolphins team picking up a key win against a division rival.

Would have had a ton more yards and another touch down if Jabar Gafney catches a bread basket 50+ yard touch down on the sideline. Moore did a great job. To be honest, we dominated the game with special teams and defense, so Moore wasnt asked to do anything (thats where he thrives imo). But I wouldnt want anyone else coming cold off the bench, than Matt Moore. Really happy Dolfan right now!
