The new GM and new coach in 2013 need to sit Cam behind a vet QB

What worries me most about Cam is this mental thing. Young quarterbacks have struggles, but it's usually when the struggles come from not reading defenses correctly that they can improve. What young quarterbacks with mental blocks like Cam does in crunch time scenarios go on to get rid of those? I can't think of a single one. I'm not sure this is going to get better, especially when the only evidence to the contrary from you guys is "It will!"

You know what's not good for Cam's mental state? Having an option based offense for the better part of the season. The failure of the coaches to identify the bad play calling after the first two games. What's worst is having to almost point it out to the media six games into the season since no changes were being made. Thank god Hurney was fired or who knows how long Chud would have kept up with these bullshit gimmick plays.

You can't blame any playcall for Cam missing a short 3 yard pass by a mile to a wide open receiver like he did at least 4 times today.

You don't bench the number one overall pick in his 3rd year when you have him signed to a 4 year contract. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he can't get mentally right then and you honestly refuse to do that, you have to move him to another team then. If he's still starting next year for the Panthers and he still can't throw inside the 10 or with under 5 minutes to go, we're going to have yet another throwaway season.

Oh is that what we're talking about? I thought this was about his mental state. Well let's say that was a mental block. What the fug do you expect when you're put in a position to carry the team on your back every game because the play calling is complete dog poo? Like I said, the play calling is not good for his "mental state".

What quarterback is NOT asked to carry the team on their back to win? There's like Alex Smith and Cutler and that's about it. Way more QBs have to do that than don't.

Y'all Cam is the reason Steve slipped, or the fact that he threw a very nice ball for a would be touchdown that Steve couldn't catch. See what's going on here, every bad thing is Cam's fault. While Sam Mills fan can't give Cam credit for the perfect throws that have been dropped.

So it's a no-win argument with this idiot.

Benching Cam Newton is a ridiculously horrible idea right now. Cam Newton is not the reason this team is 1-6. I can honestly say that he has played well enough this year to be 5-2 right now.

But, as a team, the Panthers just can't seem to finish games. It isn't about one player, QB or not. It takes an entire team effort to win.

Be careful what you ask for OP, you just might get it. Question... do you watch other teams play or just the Panthers? I usually watch at least 5-6 games a week - switching to multiple games and with NFL Game Rewind. Cam makes about as many mistakes during the course of a game as most other QBs - even the Elis, Peytons, Brees', Daltons, and Cutlers of the league. Can you honestly say that Cutler had a better game today than Cam?

He throws just fine regardless of the time on the clock. The field gets a lot smaller inside the 10 yard line. The route tree becomes very limited in that area.
