When are we going to hear from Jerry Richardson?

Is this guy still alive? I know he has never been one to talk to the media very often or anything like that, but in a situation like this, it seems like he would hold a press conference or something. Did he even say anything about the release of Hurney? He may have wrote a paragraph or something but i dont remember seeing him. I would like to see him talk about the direction of this team or something because we obviously need to make some changes.

Some pie charts would calm the fan base.

We "heard" from Richardson last week when he fired Hurney. He pretty much told us then changes are coming and put everyone else on notice. There is not much more he can say. He is not going to fire the coach because there is no other option at this point, and promoting a Cooridinator that we also know wont be here next year would just make things worse. If Jerry knew who the next HC would be then it makes sense to bring that person in now, but he doesnt exist so he is just going to ride it out.

So back to Jerry saying something what is there to say.... "dont worry I am firing RR when the season is over" That wouldnt go over well nor accomplish much at this point or time; or we would just here the usual "we are going to turn this around blah blah blah".

For me I was happy with what he did to start and that was firing Hurney. That was saying enough for me, for now.

Don't hold your breath. If there's a press conference, the lap dog media in this town will not ask tough questions so what's the point? And I doubt Jerry would even directly answer tough questions.

If you're a PSL holder, you might get a short and poorly written letter with the following:

"We understand your concern."

"Trust us, we're as determined as ever to turn this around."

"You're the greatest fans."

All code for: please keep buying tickets even though I don't know how to pick or keep quality executives and coaches.

    • his height, size and arm will forever cause problems and limitations...that is what it is.  I think to a degree, the law of averages is just coming into play a bit with him.  So as he plays more and more, you just flat out get the decent days mixed in too.  Which is just going to happen.
    • Good point. He's definitely better in 10-15 yards. I think that's his biggest improvement. But he wasn't 3-10 +15, he was 3-7, with at least one drop (minor but still). And with multiple passes at 14 yards completed. This passing chart doesn't look like at By one, lol. He threw more "deep" passes than Mahomes (NOT comparing him to Mahomes in a skill way lol), or at least more beyind 10 yards.
    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
