We just played the #1 Defense in the league

Guys give Cam a break you do realize we put up 22 points up on a team only allowing 13 a game. It seems every week we are faced up against the #1 rated pass defense at the time like against atl and Dallas and when we played Seattle they were #2 overall and now this week against the Bears ranked #1 overall. Interceptions are a part of the game and you can make the case that neither was his fault. The first one Greg Olsen has to go get that ball and the second Smitty fell, yes it was thrown high but he's went up to get balls before just a bad situation. At the end of the day Cam showed us something by going out and taking the lead right back. As a quarterback he put us in the position to win the game. The coaches didn't do the defense any favors with the squib kicking but if they force a stop. Nobody is getting on here bashing Cam. He doesn't play defense I don't care how you play all game it's how you finish that matters. I was proud of our qb going right back out there and getting that lead. His job was over and once again our defense let us down in the final minutes.

teams that can win find a way to do it.

i don't care what the opposing team is ranked in any area.

oh...and smitty losing his footing when a pass was coming his way and allowing a pick 6 to happen is what cost us the game....not the defense. not their fault that cam threw that INT for a TD.

the defense did really wel until that last drive when they decided to play ot safe, but if it wasn't for that pick 6 we'd have had the win.

Pick six 4th quarter, his job would have been to score a TD.

The defense were the last men on the field period. When they trotted back on the field we had the lead I don't care what happened the whole game. They took the field with the lead and came off it with another loss in the stat column. A good defense gets stops when they need it most. So I agree out defense played lights out but honestly that was mostly in the first half the second half wasnt so stellar. Once again we fail to make adjustments with a defensive minded head coach it's inexcusable

Defense did not let me down... It was our offense inability to capitalize on the great opportunities during the game the defense presented to them to blow this game away.

Overall our team lacks any sort of killer instinct... rather it's offense or defense with any lead we will find away not to put a team away and keep them in the game until the end where anything can happen in the NFL.

My point is with the offense give the bears defense some credit their ranked #1 for a reason and we put up 22 points understand they have only been allowing an average of 13. Anytime your asking your offense to simply out score a team it means your defense is weak. So you can praise the defense all you want but as much as you guys bash cam well cutler passer rating was worse than his coming into this game. A good defense closes out games and doesn't rely on the offense to win the game for them. Our defense is better I agree but they allowed the bears to run the same play down the field. Ill say it again THE OFFENSE walked off the field with the lead period

Cam played very well today. All QB's throw picks, all have thrown a pick when a reciever slips - thats part of the game. Overall, I was quite happy to see the offense actually "play" today. We drove the length of the field several times - we did not have many 3/outs. Yes, there are points left on the field by scoring FG's instead of TD's. I'm not willing to throw the offense under the bus for that - it was not for lack of trying. Yes, some were drops, some were bad plays - but I feel like some people here forget that the other team gets paid to play too. Overall - this was the best, most consistent offense we have seen since the NO game.

The D played lights out for 58 minutes - the score won't show it, but they have not allowed more than 20 pts in the last 3 games. They were asked to play short fields all day and held up pretty well - till the prevent defense was called.

Todays loss was not on any one player, any one play.

It was a collection of things - and some things lead to other issues.

Not attempting FG @ half - might have made a difference, might not - but, had Oleson charged Cams pass (previous possession) - it's not INT and we have plenty time to get closer or score TD.

Murphy drops pass in endzone? Smitty drops pass in endzone? Smitty doesn't slip on timed route? Punter kicks more than 6 yds. People mad cause we burned TO's - but the 12 man on the field saved us 5 yds - which ended up being the difference in Goulds missed FG (would have been inside the pylon if 5 yds closer).

I'm just saying that I for one don't think the team sucked today - but I do feel the coaching decisions leave alot to be desired. How can you let a team march down the field using the exact same play over and over and yet do nothing about it?

So the offense putting him in range to make kicks go unrecognized?

You have to look at both... The offense was in the red zone 4 times and only got 1 touchdown... the 1 touchdown they did score came off of a defensive turnover that put the offense in the redzone somewhere around the 15 yard line.

With all the 3 and outs forced today the defense was winning the field position battle. At some point you need to expect your offense to give you touchdowns instead of settling for field goals.
