Let me get this straight

hey should of continued with the press coverage. That allows our D line time to hit the QB which was successful in the first half. They started playn soft on the last drive when the Bears only needed a FG. The same soft coverage that has been gettn beat all year. I've never seen a team go away from something that works to lose a game. Good effort but overall still disappointed. At worse, we should be 3-4 not 1-6.

I don't see it that way. We had 400+ yards of offense. Bears had, what, around 200 or so, most of that coming late in the game? Sure, Smitty falling on that route resulted in 7 easy points, but when you have a late lead and your defense can't make a stop, that's coaching/execution. Since Rivera admitted to playing soft zone, I'd say it is solely on coaching, since we didn't play soft zone all game and we did just fine.

Even if you take away the INTs there were some throws Cam should have made. we could have had that game put away by the 4th if those throws were made and if the defense would have finished strong we would’ve won. So I place a little of the blame on everyone.

Cam passer rating 57. Neither int was his fault. But 20 of 39 is not getting the job done, IMO.

Not getting the job done? what job? Sure as hell can't be the job of giving the team the best chance to win, because he did that today. Defense didn't finish. God forbid the kid isn't perfect. I'm sick of this BS.

Offense players played great, defensive players played great.

OC called a decent half compared to the first six games but failed to make 2nd half adjustments, DC called a decent half compared to the first six but COMPLETELY failed to make second half, and especially two minute, adjustments.

Coaching staff is bad, and this loss is on them. The players were going hard, but they don't call the plays.

So, Cam is criticized for not leading late game drives for lead-taking points. Well, he does today.

We lose because the other team drives from their own 22 and wins the game.

And you STILL blame Newton?

STFU and GTFO.

The inability of the Panthers to put the ball in the Endzone is what hurt, not giving up a 41 yard FG at the end of the game. There are a ton of reasons why the panthers are 1-6, its rough.

True, but there were a couple of drops I can recall and a few batted balls. Let's adjust that, and assume those are completions. You're at 25/39, and that is a 64% completion percentage, which is upper-tier in this league. Sure, coulda woulda shoulda, and sure, his passes were BADLY off at times today, but he didn't play bad by any stretch.

Every QB can say that. All those guys with upper-tier percentages- they have guys who make terrible drops too. If you are going to give them to cam you've gotten give them to the other guys as well.

Some of the BEST offenses in the NFL have been unable to put the ball into the endzone more than once against the Bears, and the Panthers did it once, on the road, with a makeshift o-line.

But keep up your pathetic blame game.

I am not blaming anyone. But you can blame everyone. Cam, the D, Nortman for the 6 yard punt, the ST coach for the squibbing, Smith for falling, and not catching the TD. etc. Just saying, 1-6 teams find ways to lose, and we're finding them, its the same every year. When Cam came here, we were supposed to start finding ways to win, so far it has not happened. IM still watching, and still cheering. We'll see.
