lol, this trade will make the Thunder much, MUCH better. Glad Laker fans are thinking one and done.

Keep telling yourself that. Trading the sixth man of the year doesn't make you a better team. See 2011 Lakers for reference.....

ROFL, yes trading an all star talent for an aging Kevin Martin who is one of the worst defensive players in the NBA, and doesn't attack the rim anymore (he's super inefficient) will definitely make OKC better. Maybe in the long run if the Toronto pick ends up being good and if Lamb turns out to be good. A lot of if's.

Like I said, it won't help this year. But it will make the Thunder a much better team in the long run, which is what I care about more than just a few good years. So I still stand by my statement.

Well I understand where you're coming from. IF those draft picks (especially the Raptors draft pick) pan out and IF Lamb develops well then it's a good trade for OKC. There are just too many if's to say that they are a "much better team in the long run" though. Just my opinion on the matter.

Yeah, I like the upside of lamb, the main reason I say OKC won the trade was because Harden wasn't staying after this year. That was made pretty public. OKC lost a lot of leverage and STILL were able to get a very substantial amount. Thats the main reason I liked the trade.

FYI I really like Lamb. I've been saying for awhile now (well before the draft) that Lamb was going to be the best SG to come out of that draft. Better than Beal, Waiters, Ross, etc. I also like Perry Jones as well. The Thunder are definitely promising now and for the future.

They could've kept him this year, matched any offer in free agency, then trade him after next year if they didnt want to pay the luxury tax. It would have been a little harder to move him with a big contract, but worst case you could pay the tax for one year then deal him in the next offseason.

It was a cost cutting move either way, lets just say that if Mark Cuban owns this team that trade never happens
