Jaxel MotherFuggin Mock Draft v1

So Richardson's gotten tired of all the nonsense Hurney and this lacklusters roster has put together over the last 3 years. Including a year which I predict we finish 3-13 and end up with the 2nd Overall pick in the draft. This pisses off Richardson more and and leads to the sad but welcomed dismissal of Mr. Ron (blank stare) Rivera. With that, a new hope of a better era arrives with the hiring of Marc Ross as GM and the subsequent hiring of Chip Kelly as HC. With a new sense of direction in the team, Marc Ross and Chip Kelly begin to assemble a new roster which surely will lead us to a super bowl in the near future.

ON TO THE DRAFT!

Marc Ross in all his genious see's a chance to trade this number 2 pick for monster load of draft picks to the team that most desperately wants Golden Boy Matt Barkley. Thus, Marc Ross picks up the phone and dials in the number to the Kansas City Chiefs and puts together a rape so unprecedented it hasn't been scene since the Rams did it last year. Thus, the Panther trade the 2nd overall pick for the Kansas City Chiefs 4th Overall Pick, their 2nd and 3rd round picks, and as a bonus he gets the Chiefs 1st round pick next year (and all Panther fans say "hallelluyah, thank you Lord for this new CBA and rookie contracts".

Chip Kelly certainly remember 2 years ago, when his Oregon Ducks played Aurburn in the National Championship game. In that game, he saw is offensive line get dominated by the biggest, fattest, strongest guy on the field. "Certainly," he thinks, "I love offense, but I need the biggest baddest strongest guy in the draft to bolster my defensive line, so I can do to others what Auburn did to me that horrible day 2 years ago".

Thus with the number 4 overall pick the Carolina Panther select:

Star Lotulelei:

With his new toy in place, Chip see's future dominance on his line with the likes of Charles Johnson and rising powerhouse Frank Alexander, and journeyman but good looking player Dwan Edwards.

Chip Kelly looks at the board and says, "Hey, I like my new powerhouse DT, but I'm a frieken offensive coach, and I want a reciever that will dominate for years to come." Thus he packages his 2 high second round picks and trades back into the first round.

With the 17th Overall pick in the draft, the Carolina Panthers select:

Robert Woods:

Now with a fast, intelligent, and talented wide reciever on the outside, the pressure is off on the semi-consistant Brandon Lafell; and Steve Smith (Assuming he hasn't retired) can run routes in the slot and dominate the inside of the field.

Obtaining his powerhouse DT and superfast reciever, Chip Kelly once again recognizes a need on this defense side. "I need a good safety, who can actually cover, and make atleast 1 or 2 tackles when needed" Thus with the third round pick obtained from the Kansas City Chiefs the Carolina Panthers Select:

Tony Jefferson:

With his decent ball hawking skils and some sure tackling abilites, he is sure to be an upgrade over Nakamura.

Finally

4th: OT

5th: DE

6th: LB

With this draft Ross and Chip become famous among all Panther fans, becoming known as the duo who put the Carolina Panthers over the top, and led them to their first Super Bowl title!

Writing off Robert Woods because he plays for USC is shortsighted at best. He's a completely different player than Dwayne Jarrett or Keary Colbert and is still playing well despite an ankle injury that's lingered all season. His skill set absolutely translates to the NFL and he could step in immediately as our no. 2 and eventually grow into a no. 1. I guess it works against him that his teammate is possibly an even better prospect than he is.

That said, wouldn't take any WR in this draft in the top five or maybe ten. There are about three or four that are really good, just don't look at them as AJ Green good.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
