Most teams are willing to listen to offers for their 2nd tier players. Finding the right offer is completely different.

That's not the point. Yes, DWill can restructure his contract with a new team, lowering his salary, getting a new signing bonus, whatever.

What the Panthers can't do is make his original signing bonus go away. They paid it, and it has to hit the cap. $9.6 million of his original bonus has not yet hit our cap. We are responsible for that, not a potential new team.
