D-Will on trading block?

I'd love to see him moved, but the question is do we have the cap room to absorb the cap hit? Unless someone knows different, a trading partner cannot absorb any of that unallocated signing bonus. We're stuck with that.

If someone like Gross or Gamble restructures in the next week to free up cap space, then we'll have the signal that a trade is coming. I just can't see that happening though in the current no-GM environment.

If he is truly unhappy with his carries then he would adjust his contract to be traded like Asante.

That's not the point. Yes, DWill can restructure his contract with a new team, lowering his salary, getting a new signing bonus, whatever.

What the Panthers can't do is make his original signing bonus go away. They paid it, and it has to hit the cap. $9.6 million of his original bonus has not yet hit our cap. We are responsible for that, not a potential new team.

If DWill is gone and Stewart is handed the rock 25 times a game by week 12 we'll be watching the waiver wire for a back. Stewart wont hold up physically.

All DWill has ever done in his career is average 5 Yards Per Carry. That's Jim Brown good.

You aren't going to get anything for him. Pound DWill and Stew 12-15 times a game and see what you get.

Life will be so much easier for Cam Newton if opposing Ds must stop the run first, pass second.
