Byron bell is back at RT

I thought Bell did well at G. Considering the lack of experience. I just happen to think the O-line, at this time, is better with him at T. Now if we get a talent RT, it may behove us to move him back to G. Until that happens, we are better with Bell at RT.

Right now, I'm not sure it matters.

Put Bell at right guard next to a bad right tackle - bad results.

Did he look bad against Dallas? Yep. Name me an OL who didn't. Not much to go on there.

Bottom Line: I doubt Bell would be starting on any other line in the league. He has to start somewhere here, and from what I've seen of him, guard is the better spot.

But like I said, I doubt it ultimately matters. As a unit, our OL just isn't getting it done.

Shuffle those five cards in your hand any way you want to. When you lay 'em down, it'll still be a pair of threes :(

Not sure why, but that made me giggle.

I see what you are saying. Our O-line has struggled this year to be sure. However, Bell has been servicable at RT where he at least has experience. RG was a experiment out of neccessity. He did well, better than expected to be honest. Hell, his entire career has been better than expected.

Not sure I agree with Bell not starting on any other unit. I have followed him extensively and he has played well. Very few pressures and only 1 sack since the Titan game last year. I appreciate that.

Is he a Pro Bowler? Probably not. But he has done everything asked of him. And done it pretty well. So I am sticking with him. And let's not forget. He plays every week. But then again, so does Hangman.

bell shouldn't have been moved to begin with...at least not now, not mid season.

the oline has been struggling to gel, which always takes several weeks into the season and just about the time it should be gelling you have your center go on IR so what do you do? reshuffle the whole thing so you end up with not just one change at center, not just two changes at OC and RG....but changes in 3/5 of the line?

ridiculously bad idea. great way to make a bad situation worse.

IMO, Williams is in danger of being replace permanently. He was bad at G and T. Not many positions left for him to fail at.

Goes to show you how bad it has gotten. When Williams loses his spot to Byers. C'mon man.

I felt like this years ago. I was like if we are going to keep a lineman around all of these years to back up and play when need, why not keep Jeremy Bridges. He is a better tackle than Williams, and a better gaurd than the one they call "piggy". I remember when whe used to have a plethora of O-line depth.
