As many of you know who follow this board, I have been one of, if not the longest Hurney Hater in the group. I decided to wait a few days after hearing of the firing before I came on the huddle and started flipping through the BS.

First off, thanks JR, it's far too late, but it had to be done.

We had a GM who was a terrible cap manager, could not pick a plan and follow it, drafted as poorly as anyone in the league, and overpaid his players to stay here.

The next GM will inherit a mess. And I fully expect it to take 3+ years to "un do" Hurney's last 5 years of "doing".

Here's to bringing in a true football guy with the next hire.

Can't help but think about all these bad player contracts that wiil have this team in cap hell for years to come.

Most of them could have been avoided if Hurney was shown the door when Fox left.

JR needs to share the blame. It is nice he was finally ready to get rid of the problem he kept in place. The fact Hurney was here so long had nothing to do with Hurney.
