I just finished watching season 1 of Heroes again. It is the first time I have seen it in a few years. Man, it was such a good show. I cannot believe that this show went to sh!t that fast. Season 1 was maybe the best show I have ever seen on TV. I think one of the biggest problem was that, we saw the future versions of Peter and Hiro, and they were so bad ass. Then as the show went on the characters seemed to move away from who they were supposed to become. "5 Years Gone", may in my opinion be the best episode of any TV series that I have ever seen. Too bad no one could somehow come up with a great story and just start this show form the end of season 1 and try again. Has there ever been a TV show to come on that strong and fizzle out so fast?

I think they never thought they'd be given a second season... only explanation I can come up with. Even then it's hard to understand how they went downhill with it so fast... hell, they could have gotten some guys off the internet to write better stuff than the second season...

Yeah I remember hearing once that Tim Kring took 23 years to write what turned into season one. Due to the success, he then wrote season two in a matter of weeks.

But I agree - that first season of Heroes was great TV. I couldn't stand watching it for more than 5 minutes after that, though. It got ridiculously bad. The only reason I ever watched it to begin with was because I had just bought a new laptop with an HD-DVD player (remember those?) and I got season 1 for free.

Jangler must be sleeping. Problem I had with it was every season they tried to take it in a different direction. But what do you expect it was on nbc. If abc had carried it it would have been a lot better.
