Al Wallace talks to Frank Garcia on the Bustin Loose show

Against the Cowboys, we were in the shotgun for 48 of 59 plays (didn't count the spike in the 4th.

Of those 59 plays, 35 were passes, 20 were runs, 2 were scrambles (designed pass plays that broke down) and 2 were sacks.

Of the 20 runs, 14 were read option with a total gain (approx) of 65 yards. 4 of the runs were I-formation for a total of 8 yards (approx). The other 2 were pitches out of the gun for no gain.

Hope this helps.

Al Wallace/Frank Garcia brought up some interesting points:

  • Cam needs to keep his mouth shut, quit pouting and quit trying to be "cool"
  • Chud needs to commit to the run and quit all the chute stuff
  • Al played under Rivera in Philly and said his coaching style is not being emotional but in his experience Rivera was a good coach that knows his stuff as a Defensive coach but is unsure how he would be as a head coach
  • Frank spoke with Hurney after he was fired and Hurney stated one of the major problems is there is not a leader on offense
  • Frank and Moose agreed Chud need to find an offensive identity and stick to it.Best was is to commit to the power running attack and wear the opponents defense down More crossing patterns that Cam can make and have him getting more snaps under center.Frank said he lost confidence when the question was ask of Rivera what was wrong and he did not know

In summary we have a train wreck with multiple problems.

My jaw kinda dropped when he said that too. I mean, you're the coach, isn't it your job to know?

Are you still in middle school?

Yeah, I am home schooled and it is great to get on here and blog with the geniuses the likes of you. I do not care if he is trying to bash Cam or not. I get tired of these veterans bashing young players for not towing the company line. Cam hates losing. He has always been a winner and he does not need to learn how to lose or how to bottle up his feelings. That is what people who have normal jobs have to do. He is showing his teammates that losing is not acceptable and you do whatever so that it does not become your norm. Al Wallace is one of the reasons we go into seasons with depth like Thomas Kaiser and our GM thought that was okay. You can't have your cake and eat it sir. I know some of you older cats believe he was good, but he was a bum. Also, I was talking about team culture, not his individual culture you intellectual miscreant.

The more you say, the more you make it apparent you have no clue what you speak of.

Thank you sir. I will try not to make things so complicated next time. I just thought that we as fans were tired of picking players up off the scrap heap. Al Wallace was one of those guys and he was part of that philosophy. I like to debate, and I hope people will engage me on the message board. The only difference between you and me is you have alot of posts. That is easy though when they are as dismissive and as brief as you were in this last one.

At least you learned some big words while being home schooled but seriously I get what you are saying about Cam commitment to winning but that does not make it right to call your coach out on national TV.Regarding Al Wallace, he came in and exceeded everyone's expectation.I don't care if he came off the scrap heat or the Springer show he contributed to the team and was a consistent producer helping us to get to the Superbowl. He averaged about 5 sacks per game coming off the bench.

By the way:

A miscreant is defined as a person without moral scruples!

Is that what you meant to call me?

Al Wallace can eat a d*ck. He was part of the loser culture while he was here. He was so happy to be on an NFL roster that he welcomed up and down seasons and loved the fact that he was never part of a consistent winner. Cam has never lost and he hates it. I hope he never gets used to it here.

Are you REALLY that fuging stupid? Or, are you just trying to troll?

I agree with the not being a leader on O the most. Lots of talent and everyone seems to be too nice to step on the starlet who is under center's toes. We never had such a media magnet for qb and everyone may be taking a back seat out of respect, anticipation, jealousy or some combo of the three.

The team needs a better coach. Calling out a 23 year old kid will not help. Newton might not be a leader but he is one of the youngest members of the team so really no surprise there. Where is Gross? Where is Smith? Where is Olsen? Where the hell is Rivera? Your telling me these vets are scared of a young pup so they don't step up...
