Rookie Years

16 310 517 60.0 4,051 7.84 21 91 17 3 55.0 84.5

16 326 575 56.7 3,739 6.50 26 78 28 3 -- 71.2

Yeah you're right, Cam has nothing to work with.

Dumbass thread....

a lot of what are now thought of as really good quarterbacks really sucked when they started.

i mean let's look at alex smith for one. he was supposed to have been a huge bust but he's somehow a decent starter now.

amazingly it's largely due to having a coaching staff worth a damn. that almost sounds like an argument we've heard here!

I thought this was a leadership thing and not about stats....

But if you want to go that route Cam had 35 tds his rookie year.

how many does he have this year?

you're making it about stats one minute (BUT PEYTON HAD 26 TDS AS A ROOKIE HOW IS THAT AWFUL?1/1/?) and then about wins or other nebulous crap like "leadership" the next. probably because if you consistently stuck to one or the other as the ultimate metric for a quarterback you'd make an awfully inconvenient little trap argument rife with contradictions for yourself.
