Yea I'm letting it go my point was he wasn't just handed the job. Jimmy started out getting the first team reps. Say what you want but Jimmy was given a chance to win that job. Of course he wasn't going to win it because he doesn't have Cam's talent but they gave him a shot.

You are severely retarded if you thing that Clausen was EVER in the running to start last year. Not that he should have been (he shouldn't). But this was Cam's job the day they drafted him.

We have scored 14 points or less in 4 of 6 games this year. The defense has had us in the game...Cam and the offense have not gotten it done.

What is this offense you speak of.

You mean a scheme where we execute a gameplan to our players strengths? Yeah.. we don't do that here.

He has been this year.

akili smith only threw 5 TDs to 13 INTs in his entire bengals career. newton has already started more games than he did over the course of his entire NFL career and has passed for more yards, touchdowns, and has a higher passer rating than smith ever had anywhere. he's indisputably much better than smith and actually exhibits a career arc that's very similar to a lot of quarterbacks who are now considered good or great.

It bothers me that the guy has been handed this job since day one and hasn't had to fight for a spot just like everyone else on the roster. This guy needs to know he can lose his job if he doesn't perform. This organization up to this point hasn't been serious about challenging him in that way.

I know what his supporters say....it's the play calling, he hasn't had time in the pocket, there's no one opposite Steve Smith...but I digress.

Cam hasn't helped this offensive line at all. He takes to long progressing through his reads, he doesn't hot route on the blitz well, his footwork and indecisiveness in the pocket causes the passing lanes to close. Sometimes it looks like he doesn't know whether to run or pass and by the time he decides he's too late. His ball security in the clutch is atrocious. If he protects the ball better we win the last three games.

I really want the new FO to fix this, whether that's grabbing an established vet in the offseason or drafting a guy early. He needs to feel the pressure to reach his potential and you do that in any business through the realm of competition.

I can see that but if you take the read option out of our offense, I think that D Anderson would do a very good job at runing our O.

We all knew that what I'm simply stating is that he started #2 on the depth chart that is a fact
