Our roster can win (minus the WR's which need serious upgrading). It just needs the right system.

If we run with Cowher we will need all 3 RB's. Then we need a few WR's with speed who are deep threat, someone like Cecil Shorts would be perfect. Don't really need Olsen, need a great blocking TE.

On defense we simply need Jarvis Jones or a passrushing OLB.

Most of the veterans on this team are losers. It's not their fault, it's just what happens when you play for a loser franchise year after year. Time to cut off the rotting flesh and start anew- we can't risk it spreading to our younger guys who may still be salvageable.

I completely depends on if there is a new staff or not. I have no idea how this will play out and find it more interesting to watch it happen and not try to make any guesses.

You can't just cut players becuase the guy who signed them is gone. There are actual cap implications to such things.

i'm not a huge fan of letting people go just because they're speaking out. it usually does more bad than good.

i've got mixed feelings about it. it all depends on if they hang on to the discontent and become either a caner/distraction or just a body on the roster contributing nothing. if it's either one of those two things they should be gone, regardless of talent, imo.

if they can put it behind them and just get back to business and make an effort to buy into whatever comes next or at least try to do their part to make the most of the situation rather than bitching about it then they can stay.

it boils down to maturity, essentially...but one will be gone just to make another statement that they only want people who want to be there and will go along with the program.

I know he's good and I know he has a massive contract but I think CJ is gone, same with DeAngelo...Tolbert, Munnerlynn, Nak, Hangman, Godfrey...

and I'm not going to be definite, but Beason and Smitty could be casualties depending on who comes in as HC & GM

Agreed. Too bad Gross hasn't been a good LT for years. I wouldn't go as far as calling him the weak link, but he's more reputation than substance at this point.
