Cowherd on Cam

Recommended Posts

Colin is the man, he's spot on here. Cam is garbage, he would struggle in the CFL. The Golden Calf of Bristol>Cam. Oh yah and 19-14.

Aren't you the same inbred that was screaming Cowbitches would win by 70 yesterday and that no Panthers would ever start for the Cowbitches (even though Mackenzie Bernardeu is your starting right guard)? Who turned the computer on for you?

Stick to your lame ass smack talk and your 5 point victory dance

Don't Do It!!! Stop it now!

Don't give that ass clown the attention he wants. Mods, please delete this thread before this conversation even starts.

Colin Cowherd lives to be controversial. Remember when we were kids and we would pretend not to hear anything the annoying kid said and just ignore him. Pretend Colin Cowherd is that kid.

Close this down and let's pretend it didn't happen.

yes, please, keep burying your head in the sand, and whatever you do dont say anything bad about CAMERON!

yes, please, keep burying your head in the sand, and whatever you do dont say anything bad about CAMERON!

the crux of his argument was that the hurney firing was a referendum on cam newton which makes absolutely no sense as jerry richardson was perhaps even more firmly in favor of drafting newton than hurney was.

you have uncritically accepted an unbacked assertion because it confirms your own bias. you have your head in the sand.

I personally dislike Cam’s flamboyant attitude so please take my post as a biased response.

For better or worse the Panthers are married to Cam and Cam is married to the Panthers for quite some time. He is and will be the Panthers starting QB for the next 10 years unless he is injured of course.

Cam has more physical talent than most the starting QB’s in the league and anyone denying that is pretty silly and dishonest. Cam’s personality though comes across to those watching him on the TV as one similar to Jay Cutler, somewhat brash and egotistical. That being said, I truly have never met Cam and he may be the most humble person in the world but as of now the Media and TV don’t reflect that.

With that physical talent in mind and the amount the Panthers have invested him you can expect the Panthers to exhaust every option available to get him to succeed in this league. In fact you can expect as many coaching and personal changes as it takes to get the job done,

If Cam does not succeed in his career as a Panther it will not be due to the organization not giving its best attempt, it will be ether his inability to do so or the organization incompetence.

Cam will ether be the Panthers gold, or their Fools gold only time will tell.

Cowherd is entertaining in my opinion, but he does seem to pull poo out of his ass sometimes. This is one of those times.

Cam does need to make better decisions with the football. His plays (specifically his throws) near the end zone this year have been less than spectacular to downright awful, but I don't think that it's time to give up on him. The win-loss statistic in reference to when Cam turns the ball over is very telling, so Cam needs to better respect protecting the ball, but his potential greatness is not something that you just throw away after a couple of seasons. He has to continue to be coached up mechanically and mentall. Moreover, plays must be called to play to his strengths, and the kid gloves have to be taken off Cam and the offense. We have to really see what he can do without all the read-option bull crap that mires the running game. A little winning will go a long way to turn perceptions around. It's too early to call it a wrap.

Gaiz, just wanted 2 update! It's tootally kewl to lyke Cowherd again!

He had a Steve Young on about 20 minutes ago and one of the topics of discussion was Cam or Cam's issues? I didn't hear the entire segment, hopefully they post it up late because I do want to hear Steve's take on it as I have always respected his opinion... BUT, I caught the very end of it and Cowherd was kissing Young's ace, saying he was 10x smarter after that segment then closed by saying "I've always said, Cam best compares to Big Ben. That's who I think he is most like."

Really? I thought he sucked and would bomb out of the league a couple days ago and was more like Jamarcus Russell?

Anyway, it also sounded like he said something at the end the implied Steve was putting a lot of the onus on playcalling, as any educated observer would... I could be wrong but that's what it sounded like Cowherd was implying, then went along with it and said Cam was like Big Ben and that's how he should be used. It was something about "context." So I assume Steve said that's what people need to take into account when it comes to this season and our team in general.

don't get bayless'd folks. its cowherd. may as well be skip or stephen A. what this triumvirate spews is rarely worthy of reading mush less actually noteworthy or insightful.

don't confuse incite with insight. Most 4-letter flagships are blowhard fire-starters and nothing more.

We call it getting bayless'd whenever peeps get caught up in the espn drama. Feel free to use that word or please suggest a better one. With all the drama espn tries to infuse in sports we need a term that describes the, shall I say, more shallow side of sports reporting.
