Ouch...that leaves a mark. Good comeback Panthro.

Look...Cam is an amazing athlete...have already stated that.

Like most Gamecock fans...he was difficult for us to like because of what he did to us...and the way he carried himself through all of the "stuff" that came out at Auburn.

But when he came to the Panthers last year...I grew to like him because of his performance and the way he appeared to carry himself. Seemed to be be possibly evolving into a leader.

But his moodiness and demeanor this year seems to be a step backwards...and given his direct role in contributing to recent losses...he could have...should have IMO...handled himself better this past Sunday.

Are you kidding me. Yes Cam has had some mistakes, and I was never a fan of Carolina Drafting him last year. However, he won me over last season. Now with that said, this issue is not Cam or at least not him alone. Yes he has not played as well this season as he did last season but his numbers thorugh 6 games are not off by much from last season 1st 6 games.

The issue is coaching a rebuilt oline not using the run game like they should (Oline may be the reason) and defesne is still not playing like they should with the talent they have. I like Luke but did not agree with this draft pick. We already were deep with LB's and we needed more help at CB and DT. Neither of these were addressed for the most part. The rookie CB has blown more games than any player out there with getting beat deep at least twice a game. Then you bench a proven cover FS with tackling issues to a non proven FS (that must be good because he backed up Ed reed) OMFG!!! He was a back up for a damn reason and tackling can be coached!

Right now i see the GM, HC, OC, and DC being the problem in Carolina!

It's obvious if someone new comes on here and posts an opinion that is contrary to what a lot of posters on this board feel...that there seems to be more emphasis placed on attacking the poster personally than discussing what has been said. Now understand it was a waste of time...didn't know this was the home for the Cam Newton fan club. Won't make that mistake again. Take care.

hahahahaha...."take care" ****logs on every 5 minutes to see angry responses*****

you are an idiot plain and simple. There is nothing to discuss. We run the ball 10 times a game, it makes it damn near impossible to attack downfield. Without Cam we arent even in the position to win. some of those 3rd and long 30yard runs, who else can do that and keep the drive alive?

Cam's leadership under fire has been hammered by media analysts for the past 3 days. Even Warren Moon...who is one of Newton's "advisors"...said today that Newton has much work to do about how he presents himself in front of the media...that the locker room is looking for him to lead them forward in a postivie way to try to get a win. He did not present that demeanor on Sunday and has come under relentless attack as the result of it. So hopefully he will learn from this. But IMO...his whole personna...his history...his ego...doesn't seem to lend itself in a natural way to presenting himself in that light. See RGIII or Andrew Luck for the "right stuff" both on and off the field.

Yes...I am a Gamecock fan...but I also like the Panthers. You can attack posters personally...call them all kinds of names...but the facts remain if Newton holds onto the ball against the Falcons...could throw a 10 yard pass without one hoppin it against the Seahawks...and makes the throw against the Cowboys earlier which would have resulted in a TD instead of an INT....the Panthers would have been looking at 3 wins in those games...a 4-2 reocrd instead of 1-5 and none of this would be being talked about on here.

Those are the facts and they are undeniable. But the fact also is that Newton is an incredble athlete...a freak of nature...and as the "face" of the franchise...and given his responsibility in directly contributing to the losees...I thought it inappropriate for him to come off the way he did on Sunday...and so I decided to post about it. Like it or not...the truth is still the truth.

So your undeniable facts are to point out 3 errors in 3 games and you ignore all of the good things he did that put us in position to win? you also ignore the complete crap gameplan and play calling. I honestly think my five year old could have called better plays. I just dont get what is going through the coaches head at this point.

Actually...went 3 days without checking to see what was said. There seemed to be a couple of logical rational responses without name calling...so I thought I would give it a shot again. Posting on message boards can be like that. Everybody who posts has the right to change their mind.

The whole Cam Newton saga in relation to Auburn football left a lot of real questions marks about Newton and his family's character and integrity IMO.

But as a rookie last year for the Panthers...he played solidly if not spectacularly at times...and appeared to try to say the right things most of the time.

But today...when he inferred it was the coaches fault for the way this team has gone in recent games it appears the real Cam Newton has surfaced again. Newton has no one to blame but himself for the last 3 losses. In the loss against Atlanta if he just holds onto the football, the Falcons never get the ball back and the game is over. In the loss to Seattle before the bye...if he could throw a 10 yard pass to wide open receiver in the end zone instead of into the ground in front of him, they would have beaten Seattle.

Then today...if he doesn't throw the interception in the first half in the end zone...they would have had a better chance to win as well.

He needs to learn just when to man up...take the blame...and then when to keep his mouth shut.

If you can't see that our biggest problem has been Coaching, then you're an idiot!
