Newton Shows True Colors.

If playcalling is the issue...take a leadership role and call an audible.

No excuses.

that would still be spun into "selfish cam showing his true colors and wanting to run the show himself".

really the way things are going, audibles might not even be installed in this offense. i've seen kalil adjust protections but in terms of actually changing the play it seems like that has never happened.

it's rare to see audibles at the line from young quarterbacks anyway. matt ryan reportedly wasn't allowed to audible until his third year. flacco supposedly wasn't allowed to as recently as 2011 per ben grubbs. of course, both of those teams have quality coaching.

People say that already with his holding the ball too long on an option...looking frantic to get a football from an equipment kid to give away (on a td he didn't score)...heck...just go listen to any sports show this morning. Nothing being said here is really any different that's what's being recognized and talked about throughout the sports world. We suck right now. Name a NFC team that's worse than us right now. And if you look at last year's wins...even our wins were just against crappy teams. We're so close though, which is why it's so frustrating. I just wish Rivera showed more emotion to win than I do. He has a vested interest in it.

It's obvious if someone new comes on here and posts an opinion that is contrary to what a lot of posters on this board feel...that there seems to be more emphasis placed on attacking the poster personally than discussing what has been said. Now understand it was a waste of time...didn't know this was the home for the Cam Newton fan club. Won't make that mistake again. Take care.

You're absolutely right, Garnet. What the Panthers should do is trade Cam and sign the best NFL quarterback that Steve Spurrier has ever produced to take his place...

Rex Grossman

AMIRIGHT?

the way they're utilizing talent is stupid, the playcalling is stupid, the shotgun formation we run as our base set is ridiculous, our coaching from top to bottom is poo, clock management and crunch time playcalling is riddled with rudimentary mistakes, and the only unit that's playing respectably at all is the defense.

but no, cam lost the game because he threw a redzone pick as he was getting hit and the cowboys didn't get any points out of the resulting drive lol

I can't believe they were running that The Golden Calf of Bristol fake run step back pass nonsense anyway. Mariucci was on Gameday talking about Rivera needs to pull Cam to the side and tell him what Steve Smith said two weeks ago one more time. How else do you lead better than to show everyone how much you hate losing? I would not sit there and get bashed by the entire sports world and know I was being mishandled either.

The whole Cam Newton saga in relation to Auburn football left a lot of real questions marks about Newton and his family's character and integrity IMO.

But as a rookie last year for the Panthers...he played solidly if not spectacularly at times...and appeared to try to say the right things most of the time.

But today...when he inferred it was the coaches fault for the way this team has gone in recent games it appears the real Cam Newton has surfaced again. Newton has no one to blame but himself for the last 3 losses. In the loss against Atlanta if he just holds onto the football, the Falcons never get the ball back and the game is over. In the loss to Seattle before the bye...if he could throw a 10 yard pass to wide open receiver in the end zone instead of into the ground in front of him, they would have beaten Seattle.

Then today...if he doesn't throw the interception in the first half in the end zone...they would have had a better chance to win as well.

He needs to learn just when to man up...take the blame...and then when to keep his mouth shut.

You are so full of poo man it is not even real? Are you serious here or is this just a troll. Come on get real.

Cam's leadership under fire has been hammered by media analysts for the past 3 days. Even Warren Moon...who is one of Newton's "advisors"...said today that Newton has much work to do about how he presents himself in front of the media...that the locker room is looking for him to lead them forward in a postivie way to try to get a win. He did not present that demeanor on Sunday and has come under relentless attack as the result of it. So hopefully he will learn from this. But IMO...his whole personna...his history...his ego...doesn't seem to lend itself in a natural way to presenting himself in that light. See RGIII or Andrew Luck for the "right stuff" both on and off the field.

Yes...I am a Gamecock fan...but I also like the Panthers. You can attack posters personally...call them all kinds of names...but the facts remain if Newton holds onto the ball against the Falcons...could throw a 10 yard pass without one hoppin it against the Seahawks...and makes the throw against the Cowboys earlier which would have resulted in a TD instead of an INT....the Panthers would have been looking at 3 wins in those games...a 4-2 reocrd instead of 1-5 and none of this would be being talked about on here.

Those are the facts and they are undeniable. But the fact also is that Newton is an incredble athlete...a freak of nature...and as the "face" of the franchise...and given his responsibility in directly contributing to the losees...I thought it inappropriate for him to come off the way he did on Sunday...and so I decided to post about it. Like it or not...the truth is still the truth.

So Cam is showing his true colors for saying what has been posted on this site about the coaching since week one? You cannot be taken seriously.

Yep, Cam is showing his true colors because he has guts...LMAO.

You obviously have never had a QB with such guts and is quite okay with the behavior and mindset of your team.

Also, it seems many of you fans have hidden your own true colors behind the media's endless attack of Cam.

I remembered reading an article where some of you had made some hateful Cam tee-shirts. It was so bad that the writer had to question what was motivating such hate.

I have watched NFL football for most of my life and I have NEVER seen such blatant stiring of discrimination and hate towards someone based solely on what was coming out of the media. Are you offended because Cam is black and he dare to have the confidence to speak up?

I can bet you any amount of money that Cam didn't really say anything neagative and it's once again, how the media chooses to spin it simply because it's Cam.

You really are an idiot...that is not what he said and you know it. You are one of those creepers that like to pic fights hidden behind the safety of your computer.Nothing worse than a fan from a differant team jumps on a board and starts poo. You are the true definition of a troll

Yeah, throw insults at me while you continue to beat up on your QB and live in denial of how pathetic your team really is.

Why don't you link me with the article, so I can judge for myself. I refuse to allow the mindset of this site to entertain my spirit.

I am a TRUE FAN who look at my entire team. Not sit and single out ONE player and make him the punching bag because the media is doing it. Those fans are called cowards.

Show me one thread where I am beating up on my qb. All I have said that his assertions with the media is making things worse for him.
