Likely a torn labrum for Gamble

It doesn't take anything away from Ed Reed and his willingness to play through pain, but the only reason Harbaugh said that is because he's in trouble.

Baltimore didn't report Reed's injury as required, so Harbaugh is trying to minimize it by saying 20 or 30 guys are in the same shape. That's obviously not true.

Sorry...but this is a prime example of a player that the Panthers should part with after this season. He's getting old, he can't stay healthy, and its a position that needs major upgrades at the #1 and #2 spot.

As a fanbase we think higher of him than the rest of the league because he is probably the best corner in franchise history but you can't keep trotting guys out there as #1 on your depth chart when they can't stay healthy.

This is yet another example of Hurney's incompetence because now we are playing the rest of the season with a 7th rounder, a 5th rounder, and who else...we are going to get torched the rest of the year by good passing attacks.

This is quickly becoming a team injury-prone players and you will never ever win in the NFL if you can't get guys healthy OR have adequate backups.

He is also an example of the Panthers reaching with a draft pick. He was originally a WR and I believe he just spent one year at corner..I belive it was Ohio State.

Not impact player anymore either....paid a boat load of money....I can't remember the last time he had an interception of made an impact tackle or breakup.

Panthers are amazing with this stuff and players not playing their natural position...tried it again with Keek...play players were they are most natural and they will contribute.

I keep feeling the Panthers personnel moves are the epitome of the old saying 'keeping doing what you have always done and you will get what you have always got'.

Actually, Gamble was a 3 year starter at CB. Returned some punts his jr and sr years. Played WR off and on his jr and sr years. So he is athletic.

He doesn't get ints because of how he plays and the lack of attention he gets.

So he is a natural CB and is not playing out of position.

There are times when personell movement is predicated on injury and wanting to see how versatile a player can be. Not every move is just for moves sake.

Maybe that is why their pass defense is so bad this year.

That whole D is in trouble.

Seems like not every good team has quality depth at every position. Sometimes when you lose a starter the next guy steps up. Sometimes it bites you on the butt. Good to see we are not the only team with issues.
