Gamble and Beason misses practice, Rivera is concerned

Lake Norman is going to get inside Dez's head so fuging quickly. He's gonna mention the prostitute mother and by the second Dallas offensive series Dez will be getting personal fouls and dropping passes. Then Godfrey is going to do the only thing he's good at and put a lick on Austin coming over the middle and he'll bitch out and we'll be solid after that. Cam's bye week talk with Cecil will prove useful and our offense will click just enough to squeak out a victory, 27-20.

This is my dream scenario anyhow.

i'm beginning to think there's a whole lot of panic over nothing.

beason was on the drive this afternoon and had a lot of good things to say...

@thedrivenc

Beason says he is not hurt bad enough to be put on IR, regarding Rivera not ruling out putting him & Gamble on IR today.

@thedrivenc

Beason: "I'm to the point with my Achilles where I dont have to ice it, I dont have to stretch it, I just go, so my Achilles is 100%."

@JeffHaseley

Per Jon Beason on @wfnz radio, if he plays this Sunday it will be at OLB. Kuechly will play MLB. #panthers

still nothing about gamble, but i feel like the reporters were fishing and rivera didn't bite.

more worried about gamble, but until i hear more i'm not gonna freak out.

Maybe Rivera just doesn't have a real good grasp on this team so he doesn't know. Like with the whole Cam mental coach thing.

Rivera said he didn't know if he had one....supported that if he did. Of all things to knock Rivera on I don't think that is one....

If Beason IS in fact put on IR after he said that, we all know Hurns and Rivera a throwing the season away.

or it could be that rivera said that gamble and beason missed practice, reporters asked if he was concerned and he said yes and then reporters made a leap and asked if rivera was thinking about IR and he didn't give a definitive enough of an answer so reporters ran with it.

without context and actual quotes everyone is just jumping to conclusions.

Well the video is up....

When asked about IR....Rivera actually showed some facial expressions. Doesn't look like he was thinking about such a thing but since asked about IR wouldn't rule anything out

true, but i don't think either one of them, esp. hurney can afford to do that without 1) making this team a whole lot less attractive to cam in the future and 2) causing a mutiny in the fanbase that goes waaayyyy beyond what was there in 2010.

i see no real benefit to throwing the season away.

the panthers can't afford to do this. as much disrespect as rivera gets, can anyone honestly say that a guy with his past would be happy or go along with any plan to mail it in? how the hell do you convince your star franchise QB that it would be worth it to stay around for his whole career when the franchise gives up not even halfway through a season?

Rivera said in his presser if Beason could go he would start at the Mike, but Beason said he'll be at the Will spot. What the hell??

the way other comments from beason's interview sounded...it sounded like beason said that he would play OLB...not that he would start there.

probably going to be going back and forth between the two.

yeah...i do think that person was fishing there. he asked if either one was potential candidates for IR and rivera's expression was more of a "well...i wasn't thinking it was that bad, but i suppose we can't rule anything out."

reporters just took some little blurb and blew it up. funny that person's last response to me was a little testy when i said it sounded like fishing. i didn't know that it was him that actually asked the question because he just said "we".
