Is Greg Olson overated by Panther fans?

Definitely not overrated. We either don't use him properly or not at all. Seems to be a common trend with all the players in our offense in general. Our coaches lack vision and direction.

Good lookin out Johnny... Those stats surprise me a bit, hes caught 22 of 34. Thought he would catch more than 2 outta 3.... Helllz yeahs hes overrated when you look at it like that. Ship him....

Olsen is a top 5 deep threat TE. Maybe even the best, and has great hands, but he lacks in other areas, particularly blocking.

This, but who is the best all around TE? Most are either pass catchers or run supporters.

The rest of the league dosen't seem impressed by him. Panther fans were saying he was going to absorbed Shockey catches and get close to 1000 yard and 10 TD's this year. That doesn't look like it is going to happen. What makes him better than a middle of the pack TE such as Fred Davis, Jared Cook, or up and comer Kyle Rudolph?

I don't think we overrate him. He performs when called upon. He's saved a few really bad Cam throws with great catches. But his number has to be called for him to show what he can do.

he's more of a receiver than a TE but plays TE. He catches everything thrown to him and can run after the catch. he is valuable to have but we need to get him the ball more

Olsen isn't a good blocker....not by TE standards. Also, a good blocking grade on PFF only looks at grading the blocking assignments given to him.....so a good grade is a reflection of looking what he is asked to do.

He can lay some decent blocks on occasion. He isn't much if a blocker by normal TE standards to date.
