Fox is 41-3 when his team scores 26 points...

yeah fox went on nfl network prior to the 2011 draft and said he expected the panthers to draft dareus.

cam wouldn't be here if fox was still our coach so all the talk about "imagine what fox could do with cam!1" is moot. and if hurney/JR would have forced cam on him he'd be riding the bench if he had any choice whatsoever in the matter. i mean how many times did fox go on record here that developing young quarterbacks isn't part of his philosophy because it takes too long and the bust factor is too high?

Fox with Chud would've been so dirty. And Ron Meeks staying at DC wouldn't have been bad either. He did very well with the sh*thole he was forced to work with in '09.

Chud would be running 3rd down draws with DA all day....it is a well known fact Fox put his thumb print on the offense here. OCs couldn't do there own thing

The Panthers went 12-4 that season despite Delhomme, not because of him.

He had been regressing as a QB since 2005 and was fully capable of having terrible games like Arizona all season. What was shocking is that it all went downhill so quickly and before you knew it the Panthers were one and done in the playoffs.

At the very least, a QB should have been drafted as part of the future after the 2008 debacle if not before then. But, as always, management was far too loyal to a player whose time was up. Look at where the Jets are now with Sanchez

Loyalty within an organization is a great thing to have, but there comes a point where you have to evaluate players based on their current production and where they fit in terms of the overall direction of the team. The biggest problem with Hurney is that he is loyal to a fault with current players, hence the 100 million dollars tied up in the backfield on a passing team with a dual-threat QB and pick ups from the FA scrap heap in terms of depth.

You forget that we actually had our QB of the future already in Matt Moore, he played really well as a starter in 07 (2-1 record that should have been 3-0 if not for some bulls__t PI calls agains the cowboys).

Of course it turned out that he was not the real deal as a starter, but there was no way of knowing that at the time.

Besides, lacking a 1st, which one of Pat White, Stephen McGee, Rhett Bomar, Nate Davis, Tom Brandstater, Mike Teel, Keith Null (which we actually had at a point :)) or Curtis Painter do you propose we should have drafted?

Fox is/will be considered a success in Denver because he was considered a mediocrity in Charlotte. He is a good coach. He just did not want to be here. Just like Peppers.

Peppers didn't want to be here...

Fox got shown the door. He didn't want to be here once he was told he was being shown the door and they would start the rebuilding process while he was still here.

Fox is a decent coach. He actually is in a decent spot now....maybe he will let a HOF QB just run his offense. Bc Fox's thumb print on an offense is what keeps him from being great (along with stubborn player management)
