If Shock meant all that, then why not Winslow? Discussion

According to PFF Olsen was consistently open vs Seattle. Why Cam ignored him, I don't know.

Noticed this as well. For some reason or another I get the feeling that Cam and Greg don't necessarily have the best relationship together. I remember when the Panther's lost a game at some point last year and the whole thing about Olsen telling him "You can't win them all" happened and how Cam got heated at this comment. Then this year Greg blew up on the field when Cam failed to get the snap off against Atlanta and the play was later overturned. Just little things I've picked up on here and there and it may be nothing but it's at least worth thinking about. I just can't think of any other reason Cam neglected him against Seattle when he clearly was finding holes in their secondary and is a threat to score with the ball in his hands.

I always thought so too. I had high hopes for him like many others. But maybe he's just not that good.

Maybe, but I wonder if this staff even know how to use players on this team. These are the same guys that only give D-Will and J-Stew a combine 8 carries or less a game. I wonder if they know how to get the most out of this roster.

Very good point sir. Thing is, they should be able to utilize our player properly. They did it last year. I'm done trying to figure this staff out. I'm almost convinced that its on purpose. If we can figure out its not working, then they must know it too.

For those that still don't understand why Barnidge isn't playing much, let me explain...

Barnidge can't block. At all. He is a true turnstile. So if you put him out there, all he can do is go out on patterns. Defenses know that, so he is easily neutralized.

Shockey was a good blocker, and Olsen is decent (not great, just decent) and at least works hard at it. So with either of these guys in the game, we could still run or pass with the TE position providing a positive impact.

Barnidge is just as limited as Hartsock except in Hartsock's case he is good at blocking but not in the passing game. Don't expect to see much of either of these guys except in special situations.

This team had something special on offense last year that is totally lacking this year.

Was it the schemes or the talent or both?

Lesson this organization apparently still has to learn: If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I believe it has to be the schemes. We added Tolbert, but we run this stupid read option as our base offense. Our running backs cannot get down hill. Then, Chud has eliminated quick throws that got Cam in his rhythm last year. He ran double tight all the time last year, but will not run it this year. He calls seven step drops and runs no underneath routes and they say Cam is holding the ball too long. Defenses are built to stop the passing game now. That is why snitches like Bruce Irvin who weigh less than 250lbs can play DE in this league. Last year we went double tight and ran smashmouth all over these defenses and then went playaction. You remeber the Texans game, they had no idea what we were doing. Now its watered down and so damned predicitable it makes me wonder. You said if it ain't broke don't fix it. I agree whole-heartedly People were scared of our running game last year, because they knew we had two fresh backs barrell rolling all game. Then we signed a third and people were like yessir. Chud has bailed all of these teams out by running this highschool offense. Watch how San Fran gets in Seattle's arse this weekend. We need to get back to running downhill and legitemate playaction, not just calling it and thinking teams are going to bite with no ground success.
