If Shock meant all that, then why not Winslow? Discussion

Olsen is good. But I love double TE sets and think Cam would benefit greatly (see last year). Olsen is more of a receiver to me. And barn, lol I had hopes. He would be lucky to an Olsen type player. Once again, I want a young/big TE. And I think they'll give it to him in rd 1 or 2 in the draft next year. If Cam fails, the team fails.

Don't any of you ask yourselves why the evil genius would actually sign Winslow? It's got nothing to do with a bum Knee. Bill ain't stupid He is arguably the best there is. He signed him because there is something there. If it's good enough for Bill, then perhaps we should give Winslow a serious look.

Just like his signing of McClain, right?

Bill B. is a great coach with a great QB. He is nothing special when it comes to player acquisition.

That said, we do miss Shockey. Barnidge is never going to amount to anything, as the guy can't block to save his life. We might as well cut ties with him in the offseason, as he isn't even doing much on ST.

Because Hurney is against any FAs that have any name recognition. Here is how Hurney looks at free agency. In stock trading lingo he is a pennystock trader. He stays away from big, well established blue chip stocks like GE or Microsoft and instead goes dumpster diving and tries to strike gold with bottom feeding pennystocks like Nakamura and other practice squad rejects.

I am not sure that he was cut by that many. I thought it was only the Seahawks that really cut him, and from what I read, that is because they thought that a younger, cheaper Evan Moore could fulfill their needs. By most accounts, the Seattle "experts" were shocked that Winslow was cut, especially considering his success during TC. The Pats cut him because Winslow requested to be cut because he wanted a bigger role in the offense. You know he wasn't going to get playing time behind Hernandez and Gronk and company.

I could be wrong, but I wanna say TB let him go but he could have been traded. So I know TB, Sea and NE all gave up on him.

And, yet, he still put Winslow on the roster. And, again, it was reported that Winslow requested to be cut.

Bill has done a pretty good job at acquiring players, but he does have his misses like everyone else. I can't necessarily say that Brady is the only reason that Belichick has become a coaching legend. He even coached Cassel and his squad to 11 wins. Perhaps it's his system that lends to his success, I don't know. I am just saying that he had to see something in Winslow.

Look, I don't necessarily believe we should invest in Winslow. Seriously, I would have preferred Rosario, but if all we are going to open up the offense a little more with a pass catching TE, then we could do worse.
