Joe Adams is a guy who has potential to be a pretty damn good return man who needs to be coached up to the NFL level a little. This isn't college where you can run laterally for 100 yards, find an opening, break 60 tackles, and get a TD (at least not often). But for a guy who had success doing exactly that in college it'll take a little time to break the habit.

His fumbleitis probably came from realizing he's not going to have that same level of success doing the same old thing in this league...so he started looking downfield before he secured the ball. This, too, can be corrected.

Again I am NO apologist for this staff but sitting him down until those bad habits can be broken, rather than forcing him into playtime, is not a terrible move.
