3 weeks ago I thought the Falcons were just plain good. Now I think they're just getting by, and they aren't as good as their record indicates. At this point their record seems to be more a reflection of the weak schedule they've had, not their strength as a team. Their two wins of more than 7 points came against the Chiefs, who are now 1-5 and just got spanked by the Bucs in Tampa, and over a Chargers team weakened by Vincent Jackson leaving for Tampa in the offseason and Ryan Mathews' injury. So they've beaten two of the league's weakest teams. And I wouldn't count any of their other opponents (Denver, Carolina, Washington, Oakland) as any better than mediocre. The Broncos are getting better, but they weren't playing well when they played the Falcons. IMO, the 49ers, and definitely the Texans, are better than the Falcons.
